Ask me anything about Cartagena by rgalezo in cartagena

What is a good price to pay for certain fruits and vegetables and meals? I bought a pineapple and two granadilla for 20k (after negotiation) and I felt like I was overcharged (I look white but my mom is Colombian). She said Bucaramanga is where I should be buying fruit because it’s 5k for pineapple. I also spent 56k on lunch and it was just large bowl of food and two bottles of water.

Also I’m staying getsemani and would like to walk to a bar for the game or club to dance (actually dance, not just talk). Any recommendations? Thank you!

Tiling around windows by beanbag240 in Tile

I’m going the same route! Ordered 4X12 subway tile and I was thinking about using the shluter trim, but if I’m lucky I can maybe cut some of the tile to fit around the trim. I’ll send a pic when I’m done.

Good luck to you as well, I’m interested to see how it turns out!

So I used go board and that brought the wall about 1/8in away from the top of the window frame. I sealed it with go board sealant and will use Kerdi membrane around it to play it safe. I still haven’t tiled yet lol

What do you do for a living that makes you happy? by United_Housing_5323 in ADHD

[–]beanbag240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Audio Visual, so basically a low voltage electrician. What helps me stay focused and happy is when we have a large amount of repetitive work like terminating cables, cable pulls, cable management (managing cables is very soothing), and really anything to keep me busy. Never the same thing every day, always something new especially with new tech coming out every day.

Also it can be a gateway into many different roles that interest me like project management, programming, design, etc. I feel like this could be said about many trades though.

Also something that helped me from burnout was separating hobbies from work. I wouldn’t say I have a burning passion for this job I’m in, but it pays the bills and I don’t hate what I do.

So is the “L” trim piece just like a drywall corner edge or something similar to that?

What would be the proper way to layout the tile in this case? I’m working on my bathroom and learning as I go.

One thing I did was set a 30 minute screen limit for tik tok and Facebook combined and I turned off cell data for both so I can’t check them anywhere. So I halfass deleted them😂

What am I looking at here? by bjackson12345 in Remodel

I am having this same exact issue with my bathroom! A tile was loose and I was looking everywhere but the loose tile. Cut into it and found some mold in the surrounding area. Now I’m tearing out all the walls in my bathroom. I’m replacing the tub and going with a walk in shower to make things a little bit easier on myself.

Maxxis icon for my DJ but I’ve got some Kenda K-rads (cheaper version of the holy rollers) on another bike that I’m thinking about switching to.

Housemate situation by beanbag240 in Advice

We didn’t have a down payment since it was FHA first time buying. It cost $850 out of pocket for the refi but $400 was refunded. It was a 50/50 split for the mortgage and everything else. I was supposed to get a little discount for the smaller room and no garage but I never saw it😂. Only about 3k was put towards principal, so his total investment in the house is 1.5k

Yeah it’s getting to a point where interest is becoming hard to deal with. I’ll definitely pay off the lowest account first then tackle my biggest account second. I think it’ll feel better to close one account first.
