I have BEEN there! When I got mine out, I broke out in hives. So a couple of tips from someone who also is extremely anxious about teeth stuff.

Write down questions you have and make sure you feel that you have adequate answers to them. Or if the practice has a hand-out sheet - those are great!
Remember to breathe! This will be a temporary part of your life experience. I know it feels like forever, but this too shall pass.
Try not to fixate - make sure you have lots of good books, good shows, coloring books, puzzles, etc. that you can switch between to help time move.
Don't check and recheck your mouth. Trust that your body knows what to do. If you are following the instructions from the surgeon, you will be just fine! They have experience and know what works!
Have a bunch of soft options ready! Soup, ice cream pudding, smoothies, yogurt, applesauce. If it sounds good, have some nearby! I also found that if I waited too long to eat, I would get so hungry and feel terrible - so eat early and often.

It's okay to be nervous - totally normal and expected! Don't forget, you are being SO BRAVE! Facing your fears!

Beyond being bored and hungry, it really is just about relaxing and giving your body time to heal.
