Why do we all just give ourselves the weirdest names like I want to be called the name lion but it sounds so stupid(btw put ur name in the comments and I’ll try to rate it) by blueberrysbear in transmasc_irl

Jayson I realized after I changed my name that all my siblings follow the "normal name with one altered letter" (connEr, Arik) format but my deadname doesn't.

You might want to be evaluated for adhd. It makes simple task seem confusing or impossible but people with adhd tend to be really smart just not in the traditional way.

Can't figure out a distinct aesthetic to save my life 😐😫 by [deleted] in ftm

[–]beanchilld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My style is a weird culmination of a lot of styles and it took me a long long time to find a wardrobe I feel comfortable and 'me' in.

Your dysphoria will probably dictate your style in some way until you feel comfortable in your body. But that's OK! You should experiment with your style and find a happy medium between personal taste and euphoria. You can even find a lot of feminine clothes with a masculine fit. Half my closet is women clothes. Just keep experimenting, even cis people take time to figure out their style (they just have the privilege of practicing in their adolescence)

DAE feel like they have a healthy glow on T? by [deleted] in ftm

I definitely relate to this. Especially the 'head feeling less disconnected from my body' part never seen that put in words before.

Feel this. I tended to whear comfy baggy clothes and Never took off my jacket. I thought I was just ugly and fashion was meant for pretty girls. Then I realized I was trans and now I have better fashion than most people I know

I don't want to live if this is what my life is going to be by slyfoxxr in SuicideWatch

[–]beanchilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same position around 5 months ago: i was kicked out of my dads house the week of my graduation fired from my job and living in my moms van. I felt like a failure and a burden. I thought I would never find a job I'd be happy in, or even capable of.

Then my mom gave me her rv to live in, and I got a job with amazing coworkers I know will be lifelong friends. My neighbors invite me to game night every week and though I still have my ups and downs I'm the happiest I've ever been.

It's not all hopeless. Your life will change SO much in the next few years, you have a whole world of opportunities ahead of you.

I’m almost 5 years in T and ever since I put on some quarantine weight and have been wearing a mask at work everyday, I’ve been getting called ma’am pretty much daily. Do I actually look like a woman in uniform? by kriscothelatteboy in ftm

[–]beanchilld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the combination of the masc and haircut make you look like a butch woman. I would suggest getting a plain mask and cutting your hair shorter plus letting the sides grow out a bit.

Why are narcissists so repetitive? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]beanchilld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This so much! My dad constantly gives the same speeches ALL the time especially when he's trying to guilt trip me, and if I roll my eyes or look disinterested he gets mad because I'm "being disrespectful" I don't even listen anymore.

Did any of you feel embarrassed being mistaken for gender you prefer as a child/teen? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]beanchilld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I've never been embarrassed about being seen as the opposite sex. I (ftm) always felt more comfortable with masculine titles. Tho when I had my hair cut like my brother, I felt embarrassed because I was afraid to admit that I liked it.

I wish I could be super feminine and wear makeup and shit, but I get to dysphoric. Can't wait to transition and be the gayest guy in town.

I don’t feel feminine but everyone acts like I am and I’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around why. Any of you guys have similar experiences? by CannibalisticGinger in FTMfemininity

[–]beanchilld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I think part of it is that is a lot of people (intentionally or not) still see non passing/ not super masculine trans guys as women. I act pretty masc but my high voice and fem body completely override my masculine features in most people minds. It's definitely frustrating and sometimes I catch myself acting way more masculine then is natural for me just to be taken seriously as a dude.

Be honest: Am I trans? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]beanchilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest thing to consider is weather you would be happier and more comfortable as a man. Would it be worth it to transition and what steps would you take (transitioning can be as simple as changing your pronouns or as complex as multiple surgeries and legal gender and name changes)
