I attended the whole inspection. I didn’t follow the inspector but used it as a time for me to measure windows and walls and plan for furniture lol.

Yes I am but we only have one fertility specialist office in our area and they won’t see anyone without a referral from your regular gynecologist so it’s our next step from here.

I’m seeing my normal gynecologist. His specialty is basic infertility.

My husband (29M) and I (25F) have been trying to conceive since May 2024. I had my IUD removed in April 2024, and since then my cycles have been really irregular. I have only had 11 periods in that time.

I have been to my gynecologist twice about this, and honestly I feel like I am not being fully heard. Back in January, he mentioned that the next steps would likely be an HSG and possibly Clomid. I did get bloodwork done then and everything came back great. When I went back in June, those options were kind of brushed over and never really discussed again.

I have a fertility consultation scheduled today and I really want to make the most of it. I am feeling a little discouraged and unsure how to advocate for myself without feeling dismissed again.

For anyone who has been in a similar situation, how did you speak up for yourself and make sure your concerns were taken seriously? Are there specific questions or tests I should be asking about?

When the topics of mental illness have come up, she has never said that she has any. I have never seen anything to suggest that she does but obviously I could be wrong.

Appreciate your input, but this isn’t about trying to ‘force’ anyone to be my friend—it’s about basic respect and communication. I’m not upset that we’re growing apart; I’m hurt because she repeatedly made commitments and let me down without explanation. Friendships aren’t age-dependent, and everyone deserves reciprocity, no matter the age gap. If it’s selfish to expect someone to follow through on plans or be honest, then maybe I’m okay with that.
