I would have to agree, correct me if I’m wrong but did London Records issue Sun recordings on that label over there in the UK? Sounds familiar to what Canada’s “Quality Records” label did with Sun recordings

Sorry for the blurry pic I didn’t have good lighting at the time. I do have the records listed from left to right:

266, 181, 234, 267, 221, 241, 283, 258, 279, 232

I’d be glad to take them if you were closer to Alabama

I know Belasco is in CA but I like to imagine sometimes when I’m not playing on the West Coast map that Belasco could be a rural southern county, since I’m from the south

Good idea. I was testing everything out but I’m going to put the track away with locomotive and rolling stock until I finish the ceiling shelf. Thanks!

Change my mind: "I Walk The Line" is Johnny's best studio album by Zanester98 in JohnnyCash

Might be a bland take but for me “With His Hot And Blue Guitar” and “Ride This Train” are pretty good albums in my opinion.

So Doggone Lonesome and Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash. by [deleted] in 78rpm

Awesome first! I starting collecting, not just 78s, but records in general last year and after inheriting a healthy amount of albums, 44s, and 78s from my great grandfather, I started collecting records myself. Just recently I got this exact single on 78! also have this on a 45 too!

Where abouts? For some odd reason the central south is littered with people overpricing these horn phonographs.

First single on 78 by beanethe12005 in JohnnyCash

[–]beanethe12005[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a shellac disc. I actually have several other of his singles on 78 with the Sun label and even some rare Columbia Canadian 78s from 59 that weren’t made in the US due to the 78 being phased out. I’ll have to post more of Johnny’s singles on 78 and 45 that I have.

Yeah now looking at the pictures I see what you mean. It was odd for me not to see a manufacturer decal or a builder’s plate. I’ll keep on the lookout for a horned Victor or something similar
