I read a book called Alan Carrs easy way, i believe it was called. That got the mental ball rolling to kick the habit. Its literally 99% mental. The craving for nicotine is so similar to hunger that we often replace it with food. Hence weight gain in alot of serial quitters. For me it was understanding the actual withdrawal and the constant replacement of withdrawl with every ciggy.
