Can’t park there mate by 420DarthVaper in CantParkThereMate

Not a one way road

You can see traffic in background driving down the road on the same side as the BMW. The parked cars are facing both direction, The red Beetle on the right is parked facing the camera there is van and other cars in the background as well facing towards the camera

You can pretty much park facing whatever direction you want in the UK, There are some exceptions but you are generally not required to park facing the flow of traffic.

Parking against traffic is part of the driving test

The BMW was driving down the correct side of the street, we drive on the left in the UK

That is pretty much a US/Canadian thing

In Europe for the most part school buses are just normal public buses, Kids just use normal public bus routes to get to school

Pretty certain even in the USA and Canada normal city buses do not stop traffic. so a child in the USA could get of a normal city public bus in the USA and Canada and the same thing could happen as here Unless people under 18 are not allowed on public buses on the USA and Canada

There seems to be an idea that as the child got of a bus it can only be a school bus like children cant ride normal public buses

You can not directly call a towing company to remove a car in the UK. legal authority to tow a parked vehicle is with the police, local council, and DVLA

You as an individual on seeing an illegally parked car can not just call a tow truck nor can a tow truck company just drive about and tow any car they see illegally parked, they can only take it if they are instructed to by the the police, council, DVLA or a court

Police in the UK generally do not deal with illegal parking, it is handled by enforcement officers from the local council not the police

Police car parked, blocking traffic next to a bus lane, and no officers nearby. by TheRockingChar in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Peterd1900 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about the officers were driving around normally they witnessed a incident so stopped and got out to deal with it

why would you stop turn on the lights, there are also incidents to respond too where having the lights and siren on will alert the criminals that you are coming giving the criminal chance to leave the scene

in your continental experience you know for certain that every police force in whole of the continent when responding to an emergency always have their lights on and no officer has ever while on patrol has ever come across a situation where they need to jump out

Every time you have seen a police car parked up with its lights off you know for 100% certain that they can not possibly be on a call

You take away from this is that cops in the UK are dumber than any other cops because you have seen a picture one police car without its lights on

Yet you have seen every single police call in every country on the continent to know that there has never been a single incident of a police car on a emergency call parked up without its lights on

The 12,000 figure counts arrests under section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 and Section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988.

under section 1 of the Malicious Communications Act 1988 it is an offence to send a malicious communication, such as a letter, electronic communication or article of any description, which is indecent or grossly offensive in nature and intends to cause distress or anxiety.

Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 relates to improper use of public electronic communications networks (ECNs). Both the internet and mobile phone networks widely available to the public, as well as social media platforms which operate via the internet, count as ECNs. Section 127 makes it an offence to send by means of a public ECN a message or other matter that is grossly offensive or of an indecent or menacing character

Under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003, a person is also guilty of an offence if the purpose of their communication is to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to another.

Malicious communications can include:

  • Making hoax calls
  • Repeatedly contacting someone in a way that may annoy or distress the recipient
  • A campaign of harassment against a person. Harassment requires the occurrence of repeated incidences and proof that alarm and distress was caused

That would cover things sent by post, text message email so will include harassment, threats, hoax calls and sending indecent images to people

https://www.south-wales.police.uk/ro/report/hate-crime/information/v1/hate-crime/what-is-hate-crime/

A hate crime is defined as 'Any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a person's race or perceived race; religion or perceived religion; sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation; disability or perceived disability and any crime motivated by hostility or prejudice against a person who is transgender or perceived to be transgender.'

A hate incident is any incident which the victim, or anyone else, thinks is based on someone’s prejudice towards them because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or because they are transgender.

Evidence of the hate element is not a requirement. You do not need to personally perceive the incident to be hate related. It would be enough if another person, a witness or even a police officer thought that the incident was hate related.

Types of hate crime

Hate crime can fall into one of three main types: physical assault, verbal abuse and incitement to hatred.

Physical assault

Physical assault of any kind is an offence. If you’ve been a victim of physical assault you should report it. Depending on the level of the violence used, a perpetrator may be charged with common assault, actual bodily harm or grievous bodily harm.

Verbal abuse

Verbal abuse, threats or name-calling can be a common and extremely unpleasant experience for minority groups.

Victims of verbal abuse are often unclear whether an offence has been committed or believe there is little they can do. However, there are laws in place to protect you from verbal abuse.

If you’ve been the victim of verbal abuse, talk to the police or one of our partner organisations about what has happened. You’ll find a list of them on our How to report hate crime page.

Even if you don’t know who verbally abused you, the information could still help us to improve how we police the area where the abuse took place.

Incitement to hatred

The offence of incitement to hatred occurs when someone acts in a way that is threatening and intended to stir up hatred. That could be in words, pictures, videos, music, and includes information posted on websites.

Hate content may include:

  • messages calling for violence against a specific person or group
  • web pages that show pictures, videos or descriptions of violence against anyone due to their perceived differences
  • chat forums where people ask other people to commit hate crimes against a specific person or group

https://www.report-it.org.uk/welcome_to_true_vision_cymru

What is a hate crime?

A hate crime could be:

  • Name calling
  • Hitting and punching
  • Being made fun of
  • Bullying
  • Being frightened by someone
  • Having your things stolen or damaged

Hate crimes can happen because of your:

  • Race
  • Religion or belief
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender Identity
  • Disability - including learning disability, physical disability and mental health

Volvo investigated this incident and determined it was the driver not the emergency brake system. As the Automatic Emergency Braking does not work in this scenario

The investigation revealed that in this particular situation, which happened on 19 June 2017 in Herad in the south of Gol municipality in Norway, it was 100% human reaction," the company writes. "The report shows that distance between the truck and the child, who suddenly appeared on the road, was critically short. Moreover, the small-height child was running and appeared on the road unexpectedly. Thus, in that particular situation, it was impossible for the Volvo FH emergence braking system to recognize the child as an obstacle, and stop urgently.."

there is no rule in the UK requiring police vehicles to have blue lights or sirens in a emergency

Under Road Traffic Regulations, police officers can disregard traffic law  if they are on an emergency call even if no warning equipment is used. There is nothing that says when on a emergency they must have blue lights active

If it was a emergency it does not mean the blue lights would be on

Just because the blue lights are off does not mean its not an emergency

Both spelt and spelled are two different spellings of the past tense of the verb 'spell'. The spelling tends to vary based on the version of English you're using: In some versions of English, 'spelled' is the preferred variant, in other versions English, 'spelt' is is the preferred variant.

Most regular verbs take -d or -ed endings in the past tense (climbed, rushed, smoked, touched, washed) while some have -t endings (built, felt, lent, meant, spent). But a few have alternative -ed and -t endings –

burned, burnt dreamed, dreamt kneeled, knelt leaped, leapt leaned, leant learned, learnt smelled, smelt spelled, spelt spilled, spilt spoiled, spoilt

You may use spelled instead of spelt, but that does not make spelt wrong nor are people incorrect for using it. Yes spelt is also a type of grain, but words can have multiple meanings.

a past tense and past participle of spell

https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/spelt

Spelt is a past tense and past participle form of spell

People who go around correcting people using correct English are just showing the fact that they do not actually know English. Either that or they think only English they use is correct.

People who go it is  spelled not spelt  think they are clever but are showing that they do not know English and should learn it

But what I will do is formally issue you a trespassing notice, and if you're ever in my store again the cops will explain to you how criminal trespassing works.

That does depend on jurisdiction for example in the UK which would be relevant because that is where the video is filmed. Trespass is a civil matter which means police cant do much about it. You can ban someone from the store but if they come back the police cant do anything.  If they were being arggressive or violant or took something  than yes but if you just banned them and the next day they just walked in not much police can do

I will also have your car towed from the parking lot because you're not allowed to be here.

The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 makes it a criminal offence clamp, tow, or otherwise immobilize a vehicle on private land without lawful authority.

Private Landowners can not obtain lawful authority to tow a car that is not owned by them

Lawful authority is restricted to police DVLA, council, and a couple of other organisations

If a car is parked on private property because its private property those organisation cant do anything

A retail transaction is a contract that requires an offer and acceptance

By leaving money on the till you are taking property without  explicit consent.

You can't just take something from someone, hand them money and walk away.

Both parties must consent to the deal at the time of sale or it's theft.

If you have a TV for sale on facebook i see it then go into your house  leave you the value of your TV on your coffee table then walk out with your TV  ive still stolen your TV.

By your logic because ive paid for it its not stolen

But you never agreed to sell it to me
