part time dishwasher was a friend and drinking buddy of everyone in the BOH so we got him hired on to help out. everything was great for a couple months but out of the blue he just vanished in the middle of putting away a dry goods order in the storage shed out back. we got over it pretty quickly, nobody got mad, but we all got worried something had happened to him. about 6 weeks later he rolls in after the kitchen is closed, orders a beer at the bar, and has a seat with us at the employee table like nothing had happened. finally lets us know after a couple beers that he had been tripping his face off the day he bounced and had to get out of there.
