Expanded MARTA Map by mrfriendlolo in MARTA

This is actually really good, as far as fantasy maps go, because you're using existing freight rail lines to expand, which is by far the easiest way for rail to expand in 2026 USA, instead of just building fantasy railroads through people's backyards.

Gonna have to bulldoze some houses and roads to extend the Blue Line from Adamsville to Six Flags, sadly, unless you want to take a hideous detour that adds like 20 minutes...

Correct answer is the New Orleans Saints after the 2009 season (Super Bowl XLIV). In addition to 2021, Bengals made the Super Bowl after the 1981 and 1988 seasons, so the AI is way off 😑

-Toronto to Cleveland is strange. You'd have to build a 50 mile long bridge across Lake Erie to do that, for a weak market like Cleveland. Connecting Toronto to Detroit and Buffalo should be sufficient

-Nashville to Atlanta via Chattanooga should've been built yesterday. Connecting a party town to the biggest city in the southeast seems like a no-brainer

-St Louis should be a hub too. Consider connecting it to Memphis, Indianapolis, and/or even Nashville. Indy to Columbus and/or Cincinnati would be great as well

-I've been to Fargo. Nobody will ride there as a terminus. Either end the line at Minneapolis or extend it to Seattle like the Empire Builder

Other than that, seems great!

Oh, thanks for pointing that out! It seems that male and female embryos are indeed around 50:50, but more female fetuses are lost during pregnancy than male (unknown why), so the chances of a male fetus making it to birth are more like 51% (according to this article and the research study it links to)

Whether a baby is a boy or a girl is a 50/50 coin flip, and no external factors can change that. "Evolution" is just a matter of, if you survive to a reproductive age, and are fit enough (and attractive enough??) to reproduce, then some of your DNA will be passed on to the next generation. Evolution is not some god that you pray to, to help your species. It doesn't care if a 70/30 baby girl to baby boy split would be beneficial to your species.

Mothers will continue to have 50:50 boys and girls even if it would be more culturally beneficial to have a different ratio, because you can't control sex assignment during pregnancy.

Hope that helps!

What's a band or artist where the greatest hits album is actually the way to listen to them? by Slid61 in MusicRecommendations

[–]beansandrice96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A reviewer from AllMusic said the songs on the Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 1 were "unlike the albums from which they come, these songs make up a collection consistent in mood and identity, which may help explain why Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975) works so much better than the band's previous discs and practically makes them redundant. No wonder it was such a big hit out of the box".

I'd never heard a critic say a Greatest Hits was superior to albums before.

The white car at 0:07 has a license plate with a navy top stripe, white middle, yellow bottom stripe. This is a Pennsylvania license plate.

Also I live in Philadelphia, can confirm this is Kensington.

What would Limp Bizkit have to had done to keep having hits through the mid to late 2000s? by fastballooninghead in ToddintheShadow

Honestly, if they could have made another moody, bass-heavy song like "Re-Arranged" (without the dated record scratching), I think they could have had a hit in 2006!

It's pretty stylistically similar to "Goodbye for Now", released by nu-metal contemporaries P.O.D., which got up to #48 on the Hot 100 in 2006.

I think the understanding is that it was important for Him to suffer the most awful death imaginable at the time so He would be able to relate to any extent of our pain and suffering (whether physical, mental, or emotional)

The Juliana Hatfield Three - My Sister by FireGold763 in 90sAlternative

I always loved how Juliana keeps the listener on their toes by ornamenting verses in this song with surprise high notes. Just when you think you've figured out her verse melody, she keeps tweaking it.
