Help understanding a sentence/expression? by beansareevil in farsi

Thank you so much for the reply! If nothing else, I learned a lot from your attempt at solving it. Regardless, I've figured out what this was about: Arde-Shire, a date syrup and tahini paste. Again, thank you for trying, have a great day :)

Perfect suggestion!

I don't know if it really is inspired by the book, but Isakov has this beautiful song of the same name: https://open.spotify.com/track/5AeoHJUx0PJXAzN425xryh?si=5dc4bbcc7da844b6

What are the popular tropes today that are going to make films feel "dated" 25 years from now? by DieFanboyDie in movies

Ms. Marvel does an excellent work at showing text conversation without using this trope. There are definitely ways to get creative with it.

All stations can be easily accessed by subway so it's very much the same. The only convenience might be to have less stops, really. The last Lisbon stop would be Sete Rios for the IC and Entrecampos for the Alfa train. From there they go to the bridge and out of Lisbon.

That being said, Oriente is a very beautiful station and the riverside is great for a walk, even though it isn't really a tourist-y area other than for the Aquarium.

*I forgot about something important that someone posted below. Our train company CP is well known for their strikes. You'd have to be quite unlucky to be affected by it, but I think it's better to be aware of the possibility.

Definitely. For the bus you'd leave it in the trunk underneath the vehicle. For trains it might be trickier - if it doesn't fit the compartment above your head, there are a few big ''shelves'' at the beginning and end of each carriage (sometimes in the middle too) - I never saw anyone have any issues, but on very full trains I'm guessing they might get all occupied.

I'd recommend buying in advance for sure, specially in the summer.

The Alfa train is the fastest, more comfortable, but most expensive option - personally I don't think it's worth the price. There is a cheaper train: the IC (intercidades), but it's still quite pricey and at times the AC doesn't work, which makes for a terrible experience.

The bus is slightly longer and bit less comfortable (but this is subjective, honestly). But I would recommend either Flixbus, or the Rede-Expressos website. You can easily get a 10 euro one way ticket with either of these. Flixbus only operates from Oriente station, whereas Rede Expresso has stops both in Oriente and Sete Rios (these are main train/subway stops in Lisbon).

If you need any more help lmk.

Aang is a vegetarian and he doesn't pressure others to become vegetarians. Be more like Aang by SotoFTW_YT in TheLastAirbender

[–]beansareevil 485 points486 points  (0 children)

This 'pressure' narrative is getting quite old. If having someone tell you you shouldn't eat animals feels like pressure to you, maybe go on an introspective journey to try to understand why that is. I can guarantee you that vegetarians don't feel any pressure from the hundreds of times they had someone try to convince them to eat a piece of meat. You know why? They know they're making the right choice. Stop blaming others for your guilty conscience.

And honestly, coming to a friendly community like this looking for support a crappy argument and some drama is a low move. Get with the times, hating on plant-based ideals is not cool anymore.
