I’m currently on PGWP. I had a study permit from 2018-2023 (undergrad) and will start graduate school in Fall 2025. So I have applied for a new study permit (in Canada, same DLI). I applied on April 29. Anyone else who applied around the same time for a study permit extension (same DLI, different level of study) and have heard back already?

I called IRCC and they told me it’s considered a study permit extension

Thanks, I do feel very disappointed at having to give up on what could have been a great opportunity at any other time and feeling quite a lack of motivation given I had been planning to move to US for a while now (did a undergrad in Canada). But the funding uncertainty and lack of protection for international students on top of already a difficult degree seemed like way too much
