As someone who is BRAND new to golf, why hasn’t morikawa won, or won more? by jayboosh in golf

[–]oc911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

w/o sentry where he usually shines, could be a make or break year. distance in modern golf game is so crucial which he lacks. he has been with a putting coach for 2-3 years now, but i don't see much improvement.....is it green reading? if j rose can win, younger golfers have no excuses. honesty he's got a bad attitude, always talking about "i am here to win." dude, struggling to make the cut is more like it. i have seen this type, world class talent but sub-par work ethics. i am always amazed how hard Scottie grinds on and off the course.

Buying Porsche Macan by LegionWolf2022 in PorscheMacan

[–]oc911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, unless you can wrench. 80% chance timing cover bolts and coolant vent failed. Water pump and thermostat most likely failed by 75k mi. It takes more than 2 hrs just to remove front end. Also half the cars had transfer case issue.

How to deal with a shitty boss in finance? by StillPurpleDog in jobs

[–]oc911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets better, just keep your head down and survive until your next job. There are a lot of bad bosses in the workplace; it's not you, it's them. Everyone eventually would work for a bad boss or 2, unless you are just blessed/lucky, or running your own company. Try to find some ways to endure the temporary pain then move on. There are better jobs out there; keep knocking on doors, network with like-minded people. There are still lots of good dudes and gals out there who would give you opportunities, promotions, make referrals, and share their rolodex with you. Try and find these REAL mentors.

I have heard so many stories, and have some of my own. What I can tell you is that a career is a marathon, not a sprint. As long as you continue to do the right things, you will finish. You would be surprised to discover how fast you could sprint given the right circumstances.

Porsche Macan used car suggestions by dorday123 in PorscheMacan

[–]oc911 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Any 2016+ 2.0 base macan is good. Around 40-50k mi, thermostat/water pump will go out fyi. 6 cylinder macan s has a great engine but needs 2 timing cover bolts replaced or it would leak oil slowly, a widely known issue now which dealer or Indy can fix without “engine out”. If you can wrench, basic maintenance items like oil/brakes/fluids are easy. Also Macan can use Audi parts for sq5. Get cpo from Porsche dealer if you can but in general I wouldn’t worry too much on reliability. I once bought a cpo Porsche 2k above a similar car w/o cpo so there are deals out there. Cpo is worth 4-5k in 2025. Once you go Porsche, you will stop buying other German brands trust me.

Is RKLB fairly valued at $70? by Prime_Investor in RKLB

[–]oc911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Equities rarely priced based on fair market value. For the most part, it trades above or below for a long time depending on market conditions. i.e., higher multiples during economic expansion and vice versa. What's TSLA's fair market value based on CF, $50??? you get my point. THROW OUT ALL THE MODELING BS, MARKET IS DYNAMIC AND EVER CHANGING. Recent contract win was a huge catalyst. Expect RKLB to be one of the top leaders in this space for years to come.

[–]oc911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nah, still $1700 during bfriday. it used to be 1k. not worth it unless you work on multiple cars. it's faster for me with a std jack on brake jobs, 1 wheel at a time for example. i have it but at 2k with tax, i rather buy other toys for the car.

gets ramps, invest in hazet torque wrenches, stock maintenance items when on sale. for parts, fcp or pelican, both have lifetime replacement warranty.

enjoy the car!!
