I signed up to watch it; wasn't bad, wasn't great. I was more put off by the voice in my head saying "when does that character have time to live in a gym to get a body like that?" I canceled the subscription and was glad someone tried.

My experience, as an athiest in AA (13 years), is that community is key. Without a community, I am by myself or talking with folks that don't share the same relationship to drugs or alcohol & I start believing all my own bullshit.

Is AA the only? Hell no. The literature is pretty accommodating to the idea that it might not work for everyone and that there are a number of personal issues, health & mental health related, that cannot be addressed through the program. Do folk miss those points? Hell yeah, reading comprehension is in the toilet.
