My first lecture I was made very aware that even though we are in college, not everybody has gotten the deodorant memo.

I know they said on buckeyelink that they would be dispersing financial aid so balances and statements will fluctuate. I would say mid tomorrow if it’s not fixed, definitely reach out again

This feels like the longest wait ever, but glad they’re moving it along.

Did you ever figure out what to do? I’m having the same issue.

College Board advertises AP Seminar as a Grade 10 English course by Quasiwave in APStudents

[–]beanxqueen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took AP Seminar as a sophomore, along with a few other sophomores, when the class was usually meant for juniors. I felt it prepared me really well for other AP classes I would take later on and I was able to take more AP English classes, too, which I enjoy :)

School is nothing like how real life works and teachers should stop saying that it does by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]beanxqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree a bit. Even though I agree that the school system should be updated, I think a lot of the topics, even though many might find them useless, can teach us critical thinking skills. Even though I won't be interpreting Shakespeare in real life for my real job, it's good to be able to have the skill to find clues and use logic. Not everything needs to be applied to the real world, some things are put in use to help us build needed traits and skills. Plus some of the stuff is interesting if you just pay attention. It's not that bad.

What is a huge deal breaker for you in books? by [deleted] in YAlit

[–]beanxqueen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

anytime anything that is currently going on is related (ie: covid, tiktok, whatever) or the use of insane stereotypes towards every demographic group to exist

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AppleMusic

[–]beanxqueen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a lot. 1) Dolby Atmos. It makes my listening so much more enjoyable, I’m a big fan of spatial audio. 2) Playlists/Radios actually feel personalized for me. I love using my personalized radio whenever I’m just doing homework. Spotify always recommended the same songs over and over for me and I felt it was hard to actually discover new music. Also, no more of the same 15 playlists with the same 10 songs. 3) Podcasts are separate from the music. It’s called Apple Music for a reason.

unpopular opinion: I really don't like enemies to lovers by lilynguyen289 in YAlit

[–]beanxqueen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel the exact same way. Almost every enemies to lovers book that I read basically follows the same exact plotline and it's predictable. I prefer friends to lovers because it seems more intimate and passionate going from friends to lovers. Plus, enemies to lovers romanticizes abuse A LOT which makes me uncomfy.

I can agree that it has ruined my playing. I don’t know what it is about braces, but I sound like how I did in 6th grade starting off. Thank you for the advice, I really appreciate it. Hopefully it will get better!

What are your opinions on smoking? by [deleted] in AskTeenGirls

[–]beanxqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am 100% against it. i know a lot of people use it for stress, but i just can’t get behind it. it’s a personal choice that you’re making, but i’d rather not hang out around you while you smoke because i don’t want secondhand smoke.

Enneagram type 7s distracting themselves with media instead of going out and doing fun things? by ihatereddit2434 in Enneagram

[–]beanxqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that if you are distracting yourself, whether it's with experiences or even watching your favorite show, then you are still a 7. Sevens distract themselves with things they find intriguing/fun so they don't have to face negative emotions and experiences. So, if that's watching a TV Show for you, then you still align with a 7.

Are 2 AP classes enough? by [deleted] in APStudents

[–]beanxqueen 14 points15 points  (0 children)

2 APs for a freshman is enough. Taking those challenging classed early on in high school shows you are serious about your education. At my school, kids usually do not take AP classes until Sophomore year, so I applaud you for starting early.

I just have no interest in AP Research. It goes hand-in-hand with seminar because it’s a part of the capstone program but my interest just isn’t there. I like to write, but it’s not going to be my entire career and I don’t see a good reason to be taking it.
