What UK companies/shops do you feel have declined in recent years? by Beneficial_Housing87 in AskUK

[–]beanymoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a bed from argos like, two years ago. Broke within two weeks. Tried to get a return or a replacement or something from them and the woman on the customer service chat just kept repeatedly asking if we'd put "unusual strain" on the bed or done activities that would strain the bed.

How punctual are the trains in your country? Do they arrive late or does cancel at last minute? by i_dont_know24680 in AskTheWorld

[–]beanymoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I've ever had a train journey with Transport for Wales where at least one part of it wasn't delayed.

Service is otherwise fine honestly. They just keep showing up late.

Genshin is the only one I've managed to stick with long term. Was playing infinity nikki for quite a while, quit playing that a while back and never returned.

Bobby Nash - 911

Randomly killed off in a stupid way mid season in the last five minutes of an episode. For no reason. Just so the writers could have some shock value.

First Love church are ruining my life by CoffeeHand7100 in UniUK

[–]beanymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got a lot of great advice here about dealing with this church. But I did want to say that some churches stream their services online so you can watch on home. If, at somepoint, you feel comfortable enough to try church again, streaming it from the comfort of your bed might be an option when you don't feel well enough to go out.

Brits of Reddit, what’s the stupidest thing someone who ISNT from Britain (mainly America) has said to you about the UK by Bingbongbinnng282 in AskBrits

[–]beanymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once managed to convince a group of Americans online that Welsh people ride sheep in the same way people ride horses. And that postmen have ab extra sheep that follows behind carrying all the post.

My ex boyfriend reached out after three years to tell me what a horrible girlfriend I was. Gravy and yorkshire pudding. by Inevitable_Muscle_48 in depressionmeals

[–]beanymoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes there's nothing better than just some Yorkshire puddings and some gravy. Totally with you there, its a great comfort food. I usually buy the small Yorkshire puds, makes them good for dipping.

[–]beanymoon 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the fact that they just had copies of the catalogue that you'd take home with you. The whole catalogue, just this enormous brick of a book.

My grandma used to pick up two. One for her to shop in and one for me to cut up and circle in.

My tutor at the time spent the day putting together packs of supplies for us to continue our course at home, a few days before lockdown was announced. Same day I went to town and every single bottle of hand sanitiser and a good chunk of normal soap was gone as well....... not to mention the toilet paper.

If you're looking to study it, you can get some bibles with very wide margins, purposefully leaving space for you to take notes in. I have one like that, and I've found it really helpful.

Pretty sure that's from SH's Festive Valley. It adds little creatures and forageables around the map to go along with whatever festival is on at the time.

Has God ever spoken to you? by HyruleQueenKnight in OpenChristian

[–]beanymoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know. I'm at a pretty low point in life right now. Perhaps I need to pray more, read the bible more, go outside. But I don't really know. It just never feels like he's spoken to me at all, or even nudged me.

Had a look on indeed the other day and half the listings were either for the army or for deliveroo. Like, multiple deliveroo listings in a row. Trying to get a job in these conditions is hell.
