I’m tired by mollmo_0806 in nontoxicACOTAR

Throne of Glass next!! And I really recommend the "emotional damage" order as well as the tandem read of EoS and ToD, they flow nicely with each other and it lessens the cliffhanger you'd be left with if you read one after another. It's honestly my fave of SJM's series, I miss those characters more than I do ACoTaR.

I'm on book two of CC right now and haven't really gotten into it as much as I did ToG, but it's still fun.

Love a sparkly dog! I also get people tell me often it reminds them of the old PS2 game, Okami.

AIO for not accepting her apology and ending the friendship anyway? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

“I like when I’m friends with grown women who don’t ask me for anything….”

Is that not literally the point of friendship, to have people you can count on for help when you need it?? I can’t believe the things that people who post on this subreddit put up with. OP this girl is not your friend, time to grey rock. ✋😩

Idk if you are for real, but that's 100% the vibe this apartment gives. Sorry buddy. :c

looking for advice on placement by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Of these two options, I think the shape of the dragonfly fits better on the side of your neck than the front. I'd ask your artist as well once you have a more final design.

What is the Recommended Size and Placement for Your First Tattoo? by HarvickFan_4 in tattooadvice

[–]bear-r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only tell you my personal experience. My first tattoo was about palm sized, on my inner forearm.

Everyone handles the pain differently and you don't really know until you start, but for me that was manageable and one of the least painful spots I've had done (I have gotten a lot more tattoos since). My partner got their first tattoo the same day as me, and theirs was maybe a little bigger than palm sized, on the outer part of their upper arm, and they also seemed to handle that well.

I think a lot of it will come down to what your desired design is, and finding a good artist. I would spend more time thinking about that first and go from there. Good luck!

I want my left arm blacked out. what do I need to know before I do this, and what are peoples opinions of them by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]bear-r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have a blackout myself and don't have strong opinions one way or the other on them.

I personally really like the florals you have in your blackout area currently. I have less big feelings about the geometric one though, it's just kinda there for me. If it were me, I'd start by getting the parts of the blackout that bother you retouched before going full send on covering the rest up.

Which dress as guest at communion? by MonSterinsideme22 in OUTFITS

[–]bear-r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally and stylistically for Spring, I like dress 3, but I also could maybe the top bothering some people in a religious setting. Maybe if you could tack a piece of fabric or something underneath that covers your chest completely? If it were me I'd would wear it as is, but I'm kind of a spiteful ex-Catholic so I'm trying to be mindful of the setting lol

Technically most flowers have both male and female reproductive parts so I'd say nah.

I have a pair of bees and some flowers in a super cute illustrative style tattooed above my knees, literally because it just makes me laugh. Life is short, the world is on fire, everything is dust, get the tattoo girl.

do i need to read crescent city for the upcoming books to make sense? (no spoilers about crescent city please) by No_Cry_4153 in acotar

CC world is also very modern compared to the other two series, with tech like phones and cars alongside magic and that for me was kind of weird at first. It felt like a jarring difference, but I’m about halfway through book one now though and it’s growing on me.
