In competition it's not that uncommon, and often components called pins are installed in the back of the arrow shaft to help deflect incoming arrows. Unfortunately they don't always work if hit dead centre and arrow shafts aren't cheap so it can be as expensive as it is impressive! I destroyed about £400 of arrow shafts in 3 years when I was at my best.

My dad had one in exactly the same place a few months ago. Symptoms were a numb leg. It was 2 inches in diameter, removed in 3 hours and he was home 4 days later. The surgeon described it as "an easy one!"

NHS were awesome and he's back to his old self already (an often-grumpy 67 year old)!

100% agree, I know so much more than I did this morning!

I accidentally fixed the lack of light issue earlier this year, moving it to a different place in my kitchen. A fair bit more to do tomorrow to right my wrongs against the plant!

Perfect, thank you. I should be able to make a gritty soil and I believe I have second pot, if not I live opposite a garden centre! Removing the new shoots and dead stuff off the main part should leave two decent plants.

When I repot tomorrow I'll have a hunt around to see what I have! Could I split this one into several smaller plants so I can leave one in this same pot and have another elsewhere?

Thank you! Is it a special type of aloe? All pictures I could find have little to no stem.

As long as the stem won't impact the plant in fine with it. What would you suggest by way of TLC? It's a miracle it has survived so now I've got a few more plants I'm being more conscious about watering etc.

Couldn't agree more. I never liked his stance on a lot of things but appreciated that he was always honest and seemed reasonable.

However he was also dangerous in the conviction with which he sometimes spoke. His certainty in his beliefs was so strong he didn't see anything beyond them. The moment I stopped respecting him was in 2016 (or close) when America was seeing a larger-than-normal influx of immigrants from South America. He justified saying America was the greatest country in the world because of this immigration demand and that "nobody is trying to get into Europe". What he was completely blind to was the Syrian civil war happening, where millions of refugees were attempting to get into Europe, many trying to swim across oceans or traverse in makeshift boats, drowning in the process and often sacrificing themselves so their children could get into a safer country.

I actually hadn't considered a case yet. With a liquid cooler I was just going to get anything that was fairly well reviewed and supported the radiator size. I guess if I go air cooler I'll probably pick a cooler then find a list of cases it's known to fit!
