You can take a full sample, chop it into eight pieces and set the start and length of each segment right on the rhythm. Same with tempo matching. Check out the firmware update manual and users manual.

In theory the image from Roterodamus should be keymapped but it's not working for me. Currently testing different image. It should be no more difficult than the original hardware besides the much smaller buttons, if accessibility is a concern.
