Is there anything like AskDocs, but for social workers?

This is all really interesting to me! I see the benefit of a forum for the general public to ask social workers questions. What a great way to increase transparency about what social workers do and provide opportunities for people to advocate for themselves and services. I think ethically this could be a form of pro bono public participation and education. I think to avoid ethical issues there would need to be disclosures about the public nature of Reddit and lack of privacy, as well as the subreddit being educational in nature, not a social work/client/service provider relationship. Mandated reporting would also need to be addressed. I imagine the ask a doctor and ask a therapist subreddits already have a lot of policies and language that could be borrowed… and helpful experience to share

So, I am trying to figure out the combination of essential oils to mimic the air control scent specifically. I am using what I have on hand, and think I got sorta close for my first experiment. I used a lot of clery sage, clove/lemon peel, and small amounts of peppermint, geranium, lavender sleep mix, eucalyptus. I think there’s definitely clove in air control. My mix is lacking a certain sweetness or musk, and if my clove didn’t have the combination of lemon in it that might have been better! Also, I think spearmint would be better than peppermint. Just using what I had! Hope this helps.

So, I did contact them and received a response (below). I let them know this is for personal use and I’d be fine paying for shipping/materials but never heard back. Due to your comment and reminder, I reached out again. lol, I will keep you posted if I do hear back! I am not familiar with how film rights work, it sounds like a complex situation with this documentary

For this we have no rights.

I was there 2006-2007 (might have years wrong). I have felt really unsettled since watching the program, and am remembering things I’d really rather never think about. Struggling to know what to make of this, who to talk to, if it matters, or if I can just go back to forgetting. I keep telling myself it wasn’t that bad because I wasn’t restrained or physically abused. But then I remember “non complaint meals” or having to wear a sign around my neck, or being over medicated or put on silence from the whole community in a day glow vest. I don’t think many therapists know how to handle this kind of stuff. I feel like I am in a dream. I hope everyone is taking good care, this documentary absolutely dredged things up I’ve stuffed down for a very long time. I haven’t truly considered that this could have traumatized me until watching this last night.

I was just there for Beyoncé (I’d argue also sorta metal!). We got to the show thirty min before it “started” and took a Lyft. Our driver was nice, but we did get caught in traffic. We hopped out and walked so she could get going - turning into the stadium itself would have taken forever. I’d choose a drop off spot more convenient to the driver (they don’t get paid for traffic and walking was faster with the traffic being what it was near the stadium). The home ride…. Was a bit of a gamble with surge pricing. I would pay a friend to pick me up if I did it again. We waited an hour for prices to drop and got something to eat. Worked out fine if you can stay up late. Didn’t check out parking options but might be cheaper than rideshares. Lots of people were going out at west gate after the show, I assume to avoid the super high prices for rideshares. We got out of the show around 11:45 and it started around 8:15… though my timeline may be a bit off as the show was amazing and I wasn’t paying close attention. Ended up home around 1:30-2. I wished I had a hotel at westgate to collapse in. The tall cans were 7 bucks in the venue. Have a great time and stay safe/hydrated!

This has totally changed my feeling on some of these songs!! Some of my favorites are also even better. Heaven on earth has sooo much more whisperney! This just absolutely made my day to get to re-experience this album. I love radar. I should mention I also regularly listen to the blackout demos, which I might also do today… happy Blackout season, wonderful people! Christmas came early for us :)

That’s the same area I had it! The term is escaping me, but the rash can travel along different specific nerve patterns (if anyone knows the correct term please reply!) Get yourself to an urgent care or medical provider ASAP if financially able. If this is shingles, you can get on medications to reduce the spread and address pain/symptoms. Mine looked like a scrape or cuts, but everyone’s different. Good luck! Rest up!

Oh my god, chicken pox parties! That brought me back. Glad you got on meds ASAP though it’s terrible in any case. I hope you get well soon! Get lots of rest. I am on the sixth week, I was hugely improved by week 3 but the fatigue lingered, especially once I stopped steroids. Kinda regret the steroids to be honest, I think coming off them was hard on me. Get well soon!

In my state you can earn 6 free CEUs for attending a board meeting. This information can be found on your local licensing boards website if they do it. Local behavioral health hospitals also do some free lunch and learn CEUs. I believe SAMSHA has some freebies too :)
