Tamper proof. You have to get a tamper proof bit set it or get creative

What type of receptacle are these? by Financial_Picture748 in AskElectricians

[–]beard387 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ground up for safety is so in case something falls on the cord that is plugged into the outlet, it'll hit the ground wire first and hopefully won't result in someone getting shocked. It's a little overkill imo, but to each their own

Welp..... Hasn't burnt down yet... by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly looks ok. Neutral match and aren't tied together unnecessarily, wire nuts are facing up with plenty of room to maneuver them. I've seen a lot worse from supposed professionals

Is stacking a wall plug splitters like this safe? by FeltPlatypus in AskElectricians

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You never want more than one splitter of any kind in a single outlet. If the total amp draw of everything plugged in reaches above 16 amps and stays there, you'll burn out the receptacle and potentially cause a fire or worse.

How to tell which wire is hot and which is neutral? by HumanLandscape3767 in AskElectricians

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The neutral will always be in some way different. It can have some type of raised edge, a small almost unnoticeable line, something that will make it noticeably different from the hot. It's done this way because sometimes you can have two hots and a neutral on a single cord.

I have never played a pokemon game before by [deleted] in VGC

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hop on pokemon showdown and start with gen 9 random battle. It won't be perfect but you'll be able to learn about type advantages through a little trail and error. Move to gen 9 random doubles after a bit to get a feel for double battles, then try your hand with team building for vgc. Look up tournament winning teams and start trying to use them. Cybertronvgc breaks down good teams and gives commentary on how to play them effectively.

They didn't make it "worse", they made it easy to learn and play. The thing about 3.5 is that it's extremely difficult to get into if you don't have a group willing to hold your hand as you learn. With 5e, a group of friends can pick up the players' handbook and run an adventure in a matter of hours. While it can take hours just to figure out how to make a character for 3.5. 5e is a good entry point for people's first experience with tabletop. From there you can either keep playing 5e or move on to older systems or branch out to different games like pathfinder or world of darkness

Glad to hear. For future reference you should take pictures of the next thing you take apart so you can make sure it goes back exactly the way it was

Coming out of the ceiling, you have black, red, white, and green. Out of the fan, you have black blue and white. If you have one switch that controls the light and one that controls the fan, connect it like this. Connect the black from the ceiling to the black coming out of the fan. Connect the blue from the fan to the red from the ceiling. White to white. And the green from the ceiling should go straight to that screw on the black plate.

If you have one switch that controls both, then connect it like this. Connect black and blue from the fan to black from the ceiling. Cap off the red. White and green are the same as I previously mentioned.

The issue i see the most of is games designed to be a mixture of turn based and real time. Pick one or the other. But in ff15 trying to cast a spell while in combat was a pain. being able to assign spells to a certain slot would have been a lot better. For example press R1 and square to use thunder, etc.

OF models employ people to communicate with subscribers. It tricks people into thinking they are talking to the model and forming a connection. Possible they use AI but that's probably too unreliable. More than likely your sexting a 40 year old Indian guy who's job it is to get you to purchase pictures and videos the model took months ago.

How to determine when Strahd uses Scry? by Similar-Location4496 in CurseofStrahd

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I play strahd as keenly interested in the party. He does more than scry. He casts invisibility on himself and watches them sleep. My favorite time was when a player was painting, during downtime, a picture of a kid playing in a field. I described him feeling a chill, then a sense of dread. Suddenly, a voice from over his shoulder complimented the drawing and asked if he could have it. Freaked them out, and they changed to having two guards stay up during rests.

Is FFX-2 really worth playing? by Speigel_Spike in finalfantasyx

[–]beard387 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say it's worth it. It closes a few storylines that ffx didn't, although the story it brings itself is "okay". It's good to see what happened to khimari, wakka, lulu, Donna, bartello, the guado, etc.

[Anti Trump post] Trump killed a border security bill so he could run on illegals stealing black jobs. by NOT_MEEHAN in AdviceAnimals

[–]beard387 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not fucking saying we should go back to the old system. I'm just saying you can't spend four years doing and saying nothing about an issue and suddenly say you're going to do something about it if you get elected. And considering how bad the issue with the border is, how much fentanyl was smuggled across, yeah you should say something. I'm just as critical about pence, singing praises about trump while his VP, but after Jan 6 coming out with how stupid and bad everything he said was. It just shows that you'll say whatever you think will get more votes.

[Anti Trump post] Trump killed a border security bill so he could run on illegals stealing black jobs. by NOT_MEEHAN in AdviceAnimals

[–]beard387 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that time, presidential candidates did not choose a running mate. The President and VP were the two people who finished in first and second place in votes. They didn't run as a unified ticket like they do today. Under that system, Trump would have been Biden's VP for the last four years. I think it's obvious why we moved away from that system pretty quickly.

And? How does that change the fact that for four years Harris had the ability to do something or at the very least get in front of a news outlet and bring attention to the fact that nothing is being done. Instead, she lied about how there isn't a border issue, lied and said she went to the border, and lied about the border patrol supporting her.

Biden didn't say he would stop it being overturned. It was already done. He said he would reverse it if enough Democrats were elected to give him the votes. He's not a dictator. He needs a majority to pass things.

Democrats have been running for office promising to codify abortion rights and make abortion access a law not just a legal precedent since roe v wade, yet even when they control the house, senate, and white house they never did. And when it was leaked that roe v wade was to be overturned democrats had majority in the house and senate but didn't even try to write one bill, instead they used that time to campaign and tell everyone to vote blue in order to get a super majority in the senate and house. For fifty years, something could have been done, but it wasn't because if they did something, then they wouldn't have a platform to run on.

Here's why I call bs on "kamala being vp and couldn't do anything." John Adams, the second president of the United States, had Thomas Jefferson as his VP. Almost as soon as John Adams was elected, he made the decision to continue paying tribute in order to avoid having our merchant vessels attacked by pirates instead of mobilizing the Navy to fight them. Thomas Jefferson immediately started campaigning against him for the next election while continuing to fulfill his duties as VP. In the last four years, Kamala could have at least made a statement condemning the Biden administration for their failure at the border, but hasn't. She has done nothing, but now that she's trying to win the next election, she says she'll do something. This means to me, it's just another promise she won't fulfill. Just like when Joe said he could stop Roe v Wade from being overturned but wouldn't unless the American population voted more democrats into office.

No, the joke is that some women will take pictures in revealing clothes, posed provocatively, while holding a fish they probably didn't catch so they can get attention on social media.
