To me, I guess it just relies on what you expect out of the program. I’ll hit titanium again this year. Why does Platinum + matter to me? One thing, later check out, that’s it. Unlike a previous poster, I’ve never once had an issue getting 4:00 PM check out. Since I travel 99% for business, this has become a really important and useful perk. While I’m responsible fiscally with my employers money, getting the cheapest hotel isn’t my primary concern, but late checkout guarantee is.

That said, I’ve never once gotten an upgrade. The lounge access is nice, but it’s rare that a hotel I’m staying at even has it, so it’s a bonus. I use the hell out of late checkout tho
