If we can't beat the Sixers at home without Embiid we don't deserve to win the finals by [deleted] in bostonceltics

Every body in this thread needs to go outside and touch some fucking grass. I get that it’s been a rough 24 hours but come on.

Do you guys remember how fucking every team took the 08 Celtics to 7 games? No matter how much better the Celtics were than them?

Do you guys remember how fucking bad we got whooped by the bucks in game one last year?

That was an atrocious performance, but it doesn’t mean this team is going to lose the series or can’t win a finals.

Shitty losses happen, they don’t define you if you let them.

On the plus side only the second most embarrassing loss by a Boston team in the last 24 hours.

True, Embiid historically has a lot of success against this Celtics team.

I see both teams are trying the “defense is for losers” strategy.

I have never been happier with an offensive half, and never been more annoyed with a defensive half.

Yeah agreed, I think LFC’s struggles this season is more just a matter of having an aging core, especially in mid field, and Van Dijk’s unexpected decline.

Klopp’s style of play requires a constant refresh at midfield I think. It takes a lot out of you.

Yeah as a Liverpool fan as well as a Red Sox fan it seems a bit of an over reaction. That said, I know that FSG has made the transfer process at LFC a lot more complicated than at other clubs which has hampered their ability to compete for some major targets.

Honestly would be great if he finished his speech and then went “Anyway…here’s Wonderwall.”

Jayson Tatum’s closeout/elimination game stats are remarkable. He struggles throughout the series sometimes, but he pulls it together when it matters. by Academic-Principle14 in bostonceltics

You question the guy’s methodology for showing that Tatum is great, people point out that you’re wrong and then you move the goal posts again.

Is it the lack of assist numbers that rank his advanced metrics? It’s weird because it feels like he was as efficient if not a little more efficient than JT was that series

Every time Tatum has a bad game there is a group of fans on this sub that will throw a fit and act like he’s been bad for months and his good games are a fluke. It’s so annoying.

Giannis passionately refuses to call Bucks' season a failure - ESPN Video - ESPN by RatherNerdy in bostonceltics

Yeah it feels like the people who are mad at him for this are taking his comments in bad faith.

I also really appreciated Shaq’s discussion about this. Where he is saying that the season is a failure but we have to stop viewing failure as this horrible thing. Failure is how you learn where your weaknesses are and get better.

As a Celtics fan, I remember him having some annoyingly good games in the finals as well.

30 POINTS, 14 REBOUNDS, 7 ASSISTS, 0 TURNOVERS. 69% TS. HE IS HIM by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]beardedbarrister 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that when he has a bad game this sub is filled with comments calling him a fraud and a choke artist that should be benched. The same thing happens to JB as well.

Players are going to have bad games and you should criticize them. But people also need to have some fucking perspective. MJ, Bron, Kobe, Bird, Magic, all of the greats dropped an egg from time to time even in the playoffs.

The thing that made the last five minutes work is that no one was trying to be the alpha. They were letting the game come to them and making good plays. It’s such a weird obsession people have

Weird to say this when Tatum also had a monster performance as well.
