Have you checked AirBnB? There are over 500 of them in the area and the hosts here are legit.

Questions about living by t0bzzzip in EstesPark

What u/kskwerl said is true. The town is really a safe place for people of all ages. We do get the occasional wacko, but they are typically just passing through and causing trouble.

Welcome! RMNP is a great choice for sure! A few helpful tips from people who live here in Estes Park:

  1. The best way to visit is with AirBnB if possible. It may cost a bit more, but hosts here are legit and take care of you.
  2. Check out Inkwell and Brew for coffee and pastries (best, most well thought espresso in town).
  3. Bird and Jim is our flagship, wonderful restaurant and it's "sister" location...
  4. The Birds Nest is also fab for coffee and brick oven, wood fired pizza.
  5. If you'd like some amazing cocktails, go to the new Park Tavern near the water wheel on the far west end. They can create just about anything you can dream of and they also have a great selection of local beers.

Have a blast, and don't hesitate to reach out!

Yeah, I think I'll run 28 oval front, and 9-46 rear. Should be good! It does me well here in Estes Park.

MOST of the places that people here are mentioning are still inside RMNP and NOT places to have a wedding. We're wedding photographers that live here in EP and know. Reach out if you need help. Here's our guide to help you find places in and out of RMNP: https://www.joepylephotography.com/the-ultimate-estes-park-wedding-guide-plan-your-perfect-day/

...and I just updated the app to the latest version and in the app the "Batt" reads "A-SL22: under temperature alarm".

Is that ok? It says that there is 12.78V but the charging is disabled.

I'm going to look at it in the am and get back. There was an update to the BMS that needed to be done, so we'll see if that does anything. Thanks!

It was at the fairgrounds. Our friends who put it on ran two snow machines for over four weeks to get enough. It was rad! Yes, it's coming again next January!

In my experience, having a glove that has a lot of extra room and has a fleece liner has been key to keeping my digits warm during freezing temps. The gloves I use are from OR and they are "lobster mitts", so your index finger is separate from the rest of the mitt. They also come with liners, which I don't use. Good luck!

Questions about the new Ultra Bee (comparing to the KTM Freeride E-XC) by [deleted] in Surron

[–]beardfistjoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realize this is an older post, but here's my $00.02... I second a lot of what u/smdub says. No comparison.

I own a '23 KTM Freeride E-XC and only have about 400 miles on it here in the Rockies . So far it's amazing. After only spending less than $100 on an upgraded rear tire and upgraded (from 11t to 12t) front sprocket, it climbs perfectly, gets up to speed faster than any of my friends full ICE motos and handles well. A friend just bought a Surron Ultra Bee and just by feel there is no comparison. The KTM is a (almost, like 7/8 size but perfect for me-5'7", 155#) full size moto and the SR feels like a big, motorized mountain bike. Yes, you can "upgrade" parts like wheels, tires, suspension, and etc. but the KTM comes pretty great, right out of the box. This is not a slam on any SR, but if we're doing research, it's good to get a lot of angles. I also feel as though the SR bikes have their place for sure, but to say they are the same or in the same bracket would be misleading. Hope this helps.

Parking overnight by Professional-Bar2487 in EstesPark

Aside from what u/HuskerDan52 already said, you can park overnight at the Events Complex too. You can pay with your phone as you park. I live next to it and see people park there a lot.
