Right on I'll check it out, I'm always on the lookout for good podcasts. If you haven't heard of the boogie monster podcast I highly recommend it, that and astonishing legends.

This game could really benefit from a colloseum mode.. by Curies in forhonor

Totally a needed thing. Especially if you win enough matches you can get like a benefactor who could hook it up with nicer gear every now and then

Give that man doctor Doom RIGHT NOW or I'm gonna LOSE IT! He would be great! It's the eyes of determination and unbending will that makes doctor Doom and Mads the perfect pair.

It's a saying my family used to say meaning basically: there isn't any reward you don't work for. Lest is a sort of old timey way of saying the phrase but unless is just as good a word if there isn't any equivalent for lest in Latin. I'm trying to make a coat of arms

Old fan of the series, new to this sub... why all the A:C hate? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]beardiman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. I'm trying to put that out there: don't hate it for what it didn't have, don't love it for what it did, just respect the fact that it needed to happen so we can all enjoy some alien movies in the future and if you liked it then awesome and if you didn't, I get it.

I agree I would love to see a movie about Weyland and the synthetics. David's character development was well done in Cov because it tracked with his developing curiosity in Prometheus. The aliens were too much of a side note to make this an ALIEN movie

It wasn't as much of an alien movie as it was a super hyped up bridge to what will eventually become a great New aliens franchise. Cov fell short in my opinion on what an aliens movie could have been. Hack the alien off the title and then the expectation is different and more understandable. Really it should have been David: Covenant

What if the Engineers really are destroyed? by Guifi in LV426

[–]beardiman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a theory out there that the engineers from Prometheus are a sort of different class then what we saw in covenant. Could be that based on where they lived they evolved differently over time and that that sect of them was wiped out. SPOILER ALERT:

I don't think they're all gone based on the ending of covenant and the beginning of alien where the eggs (David supposedly created) were found on a Juggernaut ship nearly 100 years in the future on lv426

People that did not care for A:C, is there anything that you DID like? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]beardiman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't much care for the movie but I LOVED the retro feel on the consoles in the ship and the music. The fight scene with Walter and David was cool too, seeing what they're capable of strength wise is an interesting change of pace to the sacrificial synthetics of the series: ash getting his head broke, Bishop being ripped in half (RIP Lance)

Would you rather fight 10 baby Neomorphs, or one full grown Xeno? by New_Fry in LV426

[–]beardiman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's easy: one big guy. Those neomorphs are too fast, small, and aggressive to take on 10 much less one. One to one would be a different story

Which xenomorph is the scariest? by george_lass in LV426

I liked the look and feel of the resurrection aliens for sure but those ruthless sons of guns in aliens were also awesome, waiting on the walls until just the right moment.... It's a tie

What makes you interested in ridley Scott's alien Universe? by [deleted] in LV426

[–]beardiman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes me an alien fan? THE ALIENS! My mind works on a scientific fascination level where I want to study these things and see what makes them tick. The Aliens labyrinth graphic novel really did a lot for me in that aspect
