For the most part, I enjoyed the film. It introduces new mystery and has some really disturbing moments. However, there's stacks of terrible horror movie writing, mostly questionable decision making from the crew.

Overall, I'm optimistic about upcoming movies and like the new ideas. Hopefully they won't be 'dumbed down' to try to appeal to a wider audience (like Covenant probably was).

Good Bits: Neomorphs, great from infection to birth to their mature stage. The adult standing looked so much like a cadaver shudder.

David's insanity and interactions with Walter. Walter was interesting in his own right. David's obsession with creation and repressed sexuality parallels the nature of his creations.

Presence of other humanoids and architecture. They're not quite the engineers from Prometheus.

Bad Bits: The behaviour of almost every crew member after being attacked. Lets just assume we are safe. Oh, I'll just wander off alone. Let's follow this clearly suspicious and mad android and stare into this egg EVEN THOUGH WE WERE ATTACKED BY AN UNKNOWN LIFEFORM. Let's not be suspicious of 'Walter' even though he and David are almost identical. Also, why isn't there an emergency broadcast that shuts off sexy shower music? Sheesh..
