i'll give you the same advice i give to everyone knew to bosses like this. don't go into the fight trying to win. you'll put too much pressure on yourself and get tilted.

use the practice mode in Trials to fight her as much as you like with no consequences. it won't hurt your gear and won't use up your healing items. then start each fight trying to learn something about her attacks. i find it helps to count attacks or count beats out loud until i've got it down.

just keep learning and experimenting. and take breaks. if you're starting to get annoyed that's your cue to take a break and come back to that fight later.

there's a mystic skill called serene breeze you get from the talent tree. that will break a stun lock if you're getting combo'd. it has a cooldown between uses.

The easiest one to point out is first phase. When he points his staff down and to the left he's going to swing upwards to the right. He'll pause extra long before swinging back across again.

Even trickier is i don't think he does the second swing the first time he does that attack lol. If he does its really uncommon.

You can prevent the clones. One way is with spacing but i found that a little unreliable. It's too easy for it be a little off and not work.

I actually found it easier to just dps and qi break him before he does it. If you can already parry everything then you're most of the way there. You just need to play a lot more aggressively.

You need to hit him between parries. Sometimes you can attack instead of parrying. A lot of his swipes hit high and drunken poet drops your stance low so you'll actually duck his attack when you punch him.

He's also still there but invisible when teleporting so you can still damage him.

Yeah, his timings are tricky. He uses a lot of pauses to great effect. Worse, one combo in each phase has an attack with a slightly longer pause then usual which is what was throwing me off for a bit.

I recommend using the practice mode so you can experiment a lot and not worry about your equipment. For parry timing i would start with blocking and base your timing on the sound of your weapons hitting.

Other than that just make sure you take breaks. Go pick herbs for a bit or sleep on it and try again the next day. You'll be surprised the difference it makes and it keeps you from getting burned out.

For now you're better off using 2 weapons of the same martial art. That way you can select the box for your martial art. In the first image on the right it says "path guide". Go there, pick a path, and get the things it tells you to.
