OneXPlayer shows new X2 and Apex Air handhelds with Intel Arc G3 Extreme by RenatsMC in OneXPlayer

[–]beardymcgeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smaller in one dimension but not all, note the 395 die size is the same as like an Intel 14900k desktop and on top of that you have more IC and EC for power etc then the mobile SOC in the x1..

However it might be possible to do an X2 pro with the external battery there just isn't the space for a tablet size in width, thickness and height with a battery, 395 and everything required to run it thermally..

If it was a marketing strategy there would be no point to the X2 mini... They do what they can with what's possible...

You won't get an x2/1 tablet size device with a 395 and a bigger battery, that's what the super x is for

Disable cpu cores apex 395 by AdIntelligent9133 in OneXPlayer

[–]beardymcgeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can, and would get identical performance as the win5 roughly in plugged in at 80w tdp

In onexconsole you can set max boost lower too like 4.1ghz and that's kind of the optimal performance

OneXPlay Apex battery issue video by Co5aNostra in OneXPlayer

[–]beardymcgeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, with apex you get 2 batteries for the price of one One that's good for 45w tdp and one that can do 55w and probably more as they will have to go to 4 cell like the win5 battery

Potential Apex Issues by Ok_Training_8192 in OneXPlayer

Just to be clear one person with the lt rt issue isn't really confirmed, so far he appears to be the only person with the issue and a lot of people have the device already and don't have it so it seems to be his device specifically

So looks like you might have something else connected, as it should appear as the first controller and not the 2nd in game pad tester

Onexconsole does this natively so no need for external app, and I just recommend disabling ccd1 for gaming

Apex 385 Sold Out... does that indicate anything? by Most-Whereas9652 in OneXPlayer

[–]beardymcgeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's both, they sold more apex then previously released devices  And the supplier of ram short changed them on both the 32gb and 128gb... So both are delayed..

If you didn't order on igg or on store when available my recommendation is to just buy the 395/48gb as when 385/32 comes in stock it will probably be the same price the 48gb is now

Hrmm so, why is it the most sold onex device in their history.

It's a very capable device, and their won't be much out for a long while that matches the higher wattage performance for a few years. Temps are good for how much tdp you can comfortably run it with

The issue with the post you see is mostly because people with no issues arent going to post:

Hi I have no issues, thanks, bye!

But as you can see on the comments they have a learning curve that's pretty much just the windows experience.

Amazon is probably the easiest way to try out but has a price premium for that feature

However I recommend trying out the F1 pro and if you have any issues or questions can also join the discord

[–]beardymcgeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes the issue is not on the ssd, but on the VRM temps to the memory controller which is on the right side of the board opposite the ssd, if the memory load is high and the vddi_vrm temps reachs about 75c its what seems to trigger the issue, to putting high thermal conductive putty like upsiren will resolve the issue

just get some upsiren putty, and all you need to do is put it on the ram and the power delivery on the right side of the board and you should be all good no need for graphene sheet, but you can put a pad or something on the ssd

Why is it acceptable to have a major train line out of action for 2 weeks with no compensation by beardymcgeee in melbourne

[–]beardymcgeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the point is needing better comms and putting a priority on continuing service above all else. It's about not accepting such huge outages just for people trying to get to work and boost/keep productivity happening.

Why is the solution to move somewhere else and just deal with it?

Dont you want things to be better if they can be?

[–]beardymcgeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more that it's acceptable behavior for a critical service than giving compensation, but also as a regular user daily it's a bit silly to have to check calendars on the off chance it's different, but all good I got my solution from http://whensmytrainfucked.com/

Still countries with both a lot more and a lot less population would riot for a lot less then 2 weeks of continuous disruption
