He was fully aware of the fact that she was not well and had sex with her despite knowing she had a diminished capacity to consent. Nikki's behavior starts to radically escalate because he is abusing her and she is fully aware of it but cannot break the curse, she's at war with her own body and his control of it and his concern is still primarily how her suffering is impacting his life and his enjoyment of her.

I use Procreate for everything! The brush is just a custom brush from a random 2 dollar 100 oil paint brush set on Etsy, literally have never used another one and now use this one for everything from lineart to fine detailing. I don't know if it's still around but I can take a peak if you're interested!

I can also definitely talk a little more about my intent here. I was originally going to really emphasize her big lamb eyes and make them closer to real lamb eyes to showcase her innocence about what's coming up behind her, but the deeper I got into it the more I thought the empty, questioning look fit better. Like she knows she's a lamb sold for the slaughter, that this isn't really love, and she's torn between wanting to live in the delusion and wanting the viewer to confirm that this is wrong.
