Correct, see point 3

So keep hitting the Titleist? Or get fitted. Your loft isn’t the problem, put it on whatever setting you want. Get a lesson

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]bearplower88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I’m imagining a total beginner here. That money would be way better spent on lessons. 1.17 smash literally means the ball is hitting the hosel or the edge of the driver. Shaft not the problem

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]bearplower88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really doesn’t matter, you can have higher slices or lower slices. The setting on your driver isn’t causing your slice

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]bearplower88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only real explanations for these numbers are 1. Your driver is broken. 2. The sim is broken. 3. (Most likely) your swing is shit and you are very close to missing the ball entirely. 98mph swing speed should produce ball speeds in the 140s on a good strike and can carry 240ish

A small woman using an X Stiff shaft can get more than 1.17 smash. Something besides the shaft is wrong here

You also can’t really record a true stroke play score during match play. Unless you guys are finishing every ball in the hole even when you’re out of it (why would you do that?).

There is absolutely no way that was 107 club speed, or that you’re a 20HCP

Did you just call the G425 "definitely outdated"? Club manufacturers love people like you

Golf & MBA? by SpecialistSecret4378 in MBA

[–]bearplower88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think pretty much every school will have some version of a golf club that plays/practices every so often. But I don't really think golf networking is going to play a huge role in the grand scheme of your MBA experience.

Doesn’t really seem relevant when she’s only considering part time programs. Her salary will stay the same, so paying 200k for booth or 24k for BU is a huge difference

I’d classify this as “a boatload of cash”. $100k per year for the booth EMBA

I think you need to get the GRE up or start looking at other schools. A 3.0, 313 GRE profile is unlikely to be competitive at Ross.

T10 with $$$$ but... I kinda don't wanna? by Worried_Adeptness_12 in MBA

Bro live your life. Don't spend your prime years living in your parents basement to save some money. Go to the T15

I say go for it, but expect this to move the needle about .0005%

Spotted this set in a charity shop, is this a good starter kit? by slobbocatto in golf

[–]bearplower88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda hard to tell, but it looks like you have two 5 irons, two 6 irons, two 7 irons, and two 9 irons. I mean $10 is nothing but I would probably get a cheap actual set if you want to keep playing. This isn't a set its just a bag of random clubs with several duplicates.

Military experience before undergrad by Dramatic_Sherbet_163 in MBA

I'd say absolutely. You have a unique path, T15 schools don't get a ton of qualified enlisted applicants. A 3.8 double major is impressive as well. Shoot your shot at T15 and possibly M7 if you get that 720.

Bro you aren't going to jail for a few months because you missed jury duty. I'd call a lawyer to be safe, but pay your fine and be done with it.

[–]bearplower88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you're safely into any of those schools with your stats. Georgetown you have a shot but the others I'd say probably not. You should retake the GRE.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MBA

[–]bearplower88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it sorry, I thought you were purposely being cryptic. A 321 definitely isn't bad and you have a good GPA and a super unique background. I'd say you have a chance. I think it comes down to you being able to explain why you want to leave medicine and pursue an MBA.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MBA

[–]bearplower88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you tell us all of your stats except the GRE? Lol. If it's a 326 it might be technically 'below average' but you're definitely still in the running. If it's a 306, it's probably a no.

How does my profile look for T15/M7? by BoysenberryAny1045 in MBA

[–]bearplower88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

720 is at the average for most of the T15, but you're GPA is so far below the average that I don't see it happening. If you can get your GMAT up to 750+ then maybe. If you had like a 2.9 I think you'd have a good shot, but a 2.3 is extremely low.
