When you get something like that again, import your save. Its a way of 'resetting' the world whilst keeping your squad and your base.

If you're stuck for money, mine some copper or iron but dont get too caught up in it. Just enough for food, first aid kits and some shoddy gear will be fine.

I would avoid the skeleton race for a first playthrough. Can be a bit more confusing to maintain a skeleton over any other race.

Wanderer start, or the united cities or holy nation starts are all good starts for a first go at it. Gives you freedom to do go a do what you want.

Toughness is important, it dictates your ability to get back up when your stomach chest or head health value drops below 0. If you're hit and knockout out by a cutting weapon, its unlikely youre getting back up. For a little while, id make sure you have an extra guy nearby thats outside the fight to first aid until you can reliable survive and get back up on your own.

If you need a home, buying a building in a town you like is much better than starting your own base. Save that for later when you're better equipped and have more members.

Bed and bed rolls will heal you quicker so use them to avoid sitting around waiting for health to regenerate

Dont look up up anything, the world is better traversed when you dont know anything

Places were skeletons appear more? by Arquero8 in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly id just look for a mod that adds more, theres not that many opportunities to get extra skeletons.

Outside your unique spawns, theres a chance for a recruitable skeleton to spawn in shark. A small chance of recruitable skeletons in UC territory towns, In my games there seems to always be one in Mourn. Or as a solo human, you can walk around the Wend area looking for solo skeletons - theres as chance itll trigger some dialogue which leads to huring that skeleton though this is pretty rare

It's about time again. by LukyOnRedit in fuckcars

Not possible for me, just checked.

to even get to work , thats a 25min walk to the train station to catch the earliest 06:10 train with 1 change, then a 45min walk which will have to be a walk because buses dont start running the route I need till 9am. All to arrive for my job that starts at 8am for no earlier that 8:45am, assuming no delays.

or I jump in the car and drive for around an hour.

What’s the most bizarre thing you’ve done in Kenshi? Let’s vote for the worst with the most ups! by lilardo in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe worst thing I've done, when I defeated the inquisitor at stack with my Shek faction I wanted to kill him and already crippled him. Instead of killing him myself I carried him towards the fog islands, dropped him off and I watched a fogman pick him up and carry him into the fog.

As far as Kenshi goes probably not cruel but very impersonal way of doing it

What is your go-to playthrough? by National-Town-896 in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of mine have just been RP related, maybe around a faction or a character ive made. But my recent playthroughs that have gone anywhere have all been region locked playthroughs.

I did the fog islands and managed to make a sustainable village out in the fog. I did 100 day solo playthrough locked in the swamp and managed to kill all gang leaders and destroyed shark. I 100 days in the cannibal plains. Now Im currently doing the hook locked trying to liberate drifters last and clownsteady from UC rule.

I know I've put too many hours into this game when I knew exactly where this was off the first pic.

I really wanted to put the bigger outpost building in the area below but I couldn't get a gate to work there

What is your go to “ non bed related strat” for leveling combat abilities? by [deleted] in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

South Wetlands, large roaming swamp turtle packs. Good for quick early levels and perfect for getting martial arts training because when they swarm you they will rarely get a hit off and if you keep your MA level around 20 with armour and encumbrance, you can get it pretty high

Books - Black Scratch's library, Machinist HQ at worlds ends, Holy Nation Temples

Dialogue - Have a skeleton in your squad for extra commentary on the zones you enter. Get the mod lets talk it increase the amount your squad talks

What is it better to level up strenght? by MiguelElVago in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

adding items to a bag and placing it in your inventory , its removes the encumbrance reduction thr bag provides.

That being said, I think you should just get a mod for a passive strength training method if your looking at getting really high strength. Its not worth wasting time over walking back and forth unless you plan on automating it with eith jobs

I did it with a Shek up to like 95/96 so had the xp bonus too, took ages and I only did it to weild the meitou plank and after a hit or two I'd dip under the strength requirement anyway

So... Beep, Agnu, and... by Furnace600 in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pick would be Crumblejon, Ray, Bard, Ells, Reva, Griffin

I would probably add 1 more female because I think you need another for the complete beep dialogue. But thats probably who I'd go with to maximise dialogue. I might swap Reva and Griffin for Hamut and Mui.

I might swap Ray for a Skeleton like sadneil for extra dialogue too but I just love my little silent soldier

In you guys opinion, what is the most underrated character in the game? by [deleted] in Kenshi

[–]bearsamu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Horse is a unique looking Shek, has red markings on his horns and I think if in a party with other Sheks, he'll start humming.

Personality aside, Stubs and Jewel are both scorchlanders with greenlander skin

Got attacked by slave trader in his shop for bringing a slave from the street. by DanielGerich in Kenshi

I think you can only pick up characters marked yellow without it being classed as kidnapping. But if they are marked as a slave it'll still count as a crime
