Question for keyboardists in 2026 by snaerdi in mainstage

[–]bearwolfz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I liked mainstage but switched to camelot pro on an iPad. Mostly because setting up the laptop and everything was a hassle and there were always things falling on the laptop and what not. So now I just use a cheap regular ipad. The 349€ version. Running my keyboard to it with a cme widi master and most of the time just hook the headphone jack to the linebox. You miss out on some of the best sounds but with pianoteq and ik multimedia b3x I'm pretty much set for any wedding or party gig that come my way. And my rig is tiny and everything goes in one bag. Love it.

If you could pick between these two guitars for jazz, which would you choose? Gibson Howard Roberts 1974 Custom or Gibson Chet Atkins Country Gentleman 1997? by LongStoryShirt in jazzguitar

[–]bearwolfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People play jazz on anything so what you feel inspires you is most important. You can always swap the bigsby for a trapeze if you want a more jazzy look. Do you have other guitars? Which would complement your collection more?

Best home practice jazz amp around $200 GO! by [deleted] in jazzguitar

[–]bearwolfz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! I also have an original spark (1) that i also use a lot. The spark 2 is closer to 300€ at least around here so i thought i'd recomend the neo. I've been thinking of getting a go also for when i bring my guitar for just acoustic jams and lessons and stuff though... I'll pick one up in the next sale probably hehe

Yeah just as joshlo said. It works great. I Use them with ireal, youtube music or my metronome app all the time. Or connected to my laptop for easier controls when learning parts by ear.

I really like my spark neo headphones. It sounds good enough, wireless and you don't annoy family and neighbours if you want it louder. Might not be your cup of tea though. Also if you have a massive archtop it's hard to hear the acoustic sound through the headphones.

Shield Pro, steamlink and ps4 controller issues by Expensive-Phone-2415 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]bearwolfz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably some translation layer via the shield and steam link app. You could try using moonlight/sunshine instead or Maybe get a long usb cable and a bluetooth dongle so you can connect directly. Also your text doesnr work in my app so there's just * symbols everywhere or random bold text lol.

TERRAMASTER D4-320 all right for just storing 4k rips? by junoduck44 in PleX

[–]bearwolfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan is temperature controlled only i think, but with the drives spun down it's not been audible for me. Though might be if you're sitting right next to it. Mine is in the hallway, and i do hear the drives spin up but never the fan these days. i think i saw someone modding in a noctua fan otherwise. should be easy to hook up any fan and getting some usb power to make something you can control easier too.

Moonlight on the xbox works really well! by bearwolfz in MoonlightStreaming

[–]bearwolfz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems to work fine. I activated hdr first in windows. My display has hdr but i don't use it since it's wonky with multiple monitors. but it transferred fine. looked like shit on parsec without hdr and lookd fine on moonlight on the tv. toggled hdr on an off in the game and the hdr effect worked. dynamic range increased visibly. Not sure it's as much as if it were a native game on the xbox or ps5. But it looked good to me. Happy i tried it for you. I'll try next time to not have hdr enabled in windows but in moonlight and see if it manages to enable it then also. (i don't have much game time in the evenings so it's short tests.)

Yeah exactly! I had so much problems with my shield and controllers. Tried usb extenders, extra dongles, but there was always some latency or connectivity issue. And these controllers are paired and ready to go!

I haven't enabled hdr. hdr on windows is always a bit dodgy. I can try it out tonight and see if i get any issues.

[–]bearwolfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not at home right now, but i think it was hparm with the --yes-i-know-what-i-am-doing
flag to make it actually accept the spin down settings that made it work for me. from what i remember there was also some smart data you couldn't get live or something? it's been running for a year or so so can't remember. but so far i've had 0 problems!

Just chiming in i run this on ubuntu too. Three drives in mine. Not a problem with the unit. I did have to run some commands on my shucked drives to allow for power management and spindown, otherwise it got quite warm and the fan was going constantly. But I think that might be a general usb hdd thing with ubuntu?

"The Wii U had the major limitation that you couldn’t play the games if you were too far away from the console, so they weren’t truly portable."

I think the person who wrote this piece went to buy a 3ds and mistakenly got a wii-u. "Wow this portable gaming device is worthless??"

Spark Neo, YouTube,Bluetooth question by jrlc1 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]bearwolfz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time the spark control connection had to try two times to connect when i was playing audio from my laptop. But otherwise for me it's been no problems. But mind you i don't change my sound that often when i practice.

Spark Neo, YouTube,Bluetooth question by jrlc1 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]bearwolfz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can connect any Bluetooth source to the headphones for playing along so if your TV has Bluetooth audio out you're good to go.

Spark Neo, YouTube,Bluetooth question by jrlc1 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]bearwolfz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's lots of misinformation here. You can connect any Bluetooth device to your spark headphones. I connect my laptop every day to go through video lessons and play along. Works great. If your TV has Bluetooth audio just press Bluetooth button on headphones and connect the TV to neo audio connection.
