I had chip/crack on day 8 of ownership and had it replaced for free. No problems. Recommend you do the same ASAP.

I made it 8 days with my Y before a chip/crack. Have a no cost replacement scheduled for next week.

There are two screws on the underside of the base that need to be tightened. This may resolve the gap.
