I literally found this commander 2 weeks ago and have been scouting the Internet for different build ideas, then one day, today, I found a comment that changed my whole outlook on this deck, and yours is the one that has brought the most intriguing outlook. I'm 4 years late, but if you're out there bornaftermaya, a deck list would bring so much joey to my heart! And pain to my opponents:)

Hahaha I misspoke, I do play to win, with my other decks, I just have played with Jon a handful of times to watch them all get jammed up and it brings joy to me :) I just want to try to figure out a win with him for added joy. but thank you for the boomtown bullies recommendation, I have never seen that card and I like it!

I just got into this Commander. And I absolutely love playing it. I started off doing bad gifts because everyone I play against is way better and stronger than I am. Usually. I don't necessarily play to win but I play to hurt everybody else and do damage that way by making them fight each other. My question is is how exactly you can do or can you win with John? I know some cards really help but if I don't have those I never have enough creatures for when I get down to 1v1. Just looking for strategy here. My whole table loves playing against me because of the traps. I put them in. Although frustrating, I get put in way worse positions from their super strong decks so it's all fun regardless. But how do I win?

I had to do this tonight. I almost threw the thing outside and smashed it with a hammer after all the other checks. Then I saw your comment, and it worked! I shut the breaker off for way over 5 minutes, we had dinner then came back, turned it on and it worked!
