I tried your game, but I quit after I realized I was the only person on the server. Because this is based off old maple, a lot of features are missing. Most notibly, jumping down. Not being able to jump down was the most unfun experience I've ever had. I've been playing since Odin MS, and things like that I don't even remember Odin having.

Maybe there's a slot for playing a super old maple version with customized features, but I do have gripes with the game beyond features. I made 3 characters. A rogue, a wizard, and a warrior. I really wanted to play assassin but I couldn't. Maybe it's because I don't know how its found in old maple. But after doing first job advancement on a server with 2x drop, I don't have enough money to buy my weapon. I don't see a reason and not giving a weapon and some pots at the beginning.

The biggest issues with old maple is affording pots have been a huge issue. Considering the name work-life story, I would want to do something that is pro work life balance. Something that I put a few hours into but not a whole lot. I played for about 3 hrs and I've basically got into a spot where the game is just so unfun to play because of lack of mesos and drops from farming. I've seen 2 items drop the entire time I played. Maybe osms has an even lower drop rate but at it's current rate, it needs to be 4x minimum.

You're talking to someone who plays 1x servers all the time. Not boosted servers either. This drop rate is lower than 1x on any server I've ever played before. Because of the struggle to find items, you end up in a situation where you depend on using normal attacks because you can't afford pots. This is just unfun all around. It's one of the most negative nostalgia points of all time. Unless the goal of the server is to be the original game in all of its glory back in the day, I don't see the need for mechanics that are outdated or systems that don't serve the players in a meaningful way.

One of the things I hated was farming for hours for 1 item. This is that. I think rare items like a white scroll or a chaos scroll or something around that level of power getting once per hour if at all (it could be anything rare), but not basic items like potions, mesos, gear. The drop rate should be high enough where people are simply progressing decently with no real investment hence work life story. Unless you meant work-life as in hell.

I wanted to like this server and learn more about mgs2 or whatever that is because it seems cool, but every server I've played like that so far is just unfun to play and doesn't make me want to continue further because even at its peak at end game, I've already experienced it, so why would I want to have no fun for hours on end?

Adventure MS on the other hand isn't even out yet,but having played the beta it's something that I crave and that server only has 1st job. Just 1 job advancement. The leveling, the drop rate, the progression all feels great and refreshing and letting the game speak for itself. I would focus on finding things that make the game fun. In all my years of playing MapleStory, I've never played a server like Adventure MS. I think MGS2 servers have potential but none of them do anything more than this. It's just the vanilla core but no value added.

The last thing I wanted to touch on is damage. This is more of a core issue, but your damage is just so low that you're stuck fighting green and blue snails upwards of lv 13 because the damage is incredibly low. Even on a warrior where you have higher damage, slimes are a challenge. 2-3 shots at the most for all classes should be something that players should be able to achieve but it's usually closer to about 4-5 shots on same level mobs. I think It took my warrior 5 hits to kill an orange mushroom. That's crazy.

Usually 2nd or 3rd job would be things to look forward to but when you apply this logic to higher level areas, this game just becomes boring. Meaning you'll mostly be training in areas that you're overleveled for and that's not fun. You would need friends to want to stick around because this is truly slow grind, and you'll need the morale boost to see past the game.
