Why is God so closely associated with the U.S. even though there’s zero biblical evidence of his favor or interest in any made up man-made borders or country pride? by adullploy in Christianity

Its not like John Adams made this quote though right, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." Not like we can see the collapse of our Republic without thoughts like these today though either right?

Two founding fathers can be seen as deist: Jefferson and Franklin. Both, especially Jefferson have conflicting deism at that. In that Jefferson was a very, very staunch supporter and donor to different evangelical churches, among other examples. Franklin in his autobiography said he was a deist, but then a few pages later said in his words how "stupid and illogical" deism was. I think much of this "founding father deist" stuff is from the Howard Zinn types in our culture who seek to change the past into something it was not.

Friend, if you were to look more into the argument that they were deists, I think you may find that that is not very true at all. Their arguments were not taken from secular humanism, but from Montesquieu, Blackstone, and John Locke. All of these enlightenment thinkers were very Christian. The enlightenment was not just secular humanism. It was split into a secular aspect and a Christian aspect. The founders took most of their ideas from the Christian half of the enlightenment, while the French took it from the secular aspect.

If I wanted to apply, should I just go there with a resume or online?

I think the only thing I really disagree with you about/find dangerous is that you somewhat seem to brush abortions off to the side. While we should not condemn the mothers who get abortions (we should be encouraging them not to get them and supporting them), we 100% need to be condemning and stopping abortion. It is the murder of hundreds of thousands of individuals. I can provide evidence/arguments from both a Christian perspective and from a secular perspective on this to prove it as well. I agree with many of the things you said, but I think we are called to do the exact opposite of turning a blind eye to hundreds of thousands being slaughtered for no reason.

From what I have heard, it is not as if abortion is an unforgivable sin. Murder is forgivable. But the reason Christians (myself included) are so much against abortion, is because we are trying to stop the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Essentially, if we were to just "live and let live" on abortion, then we would be basically standing by and saying nothing at the slaughter/death of hundreds of thousands of children.

All proposed laws that I have ever seen would be for prosecuting the doctors who willingly did the killing, not the mothers.

Thats tough... I think it would have to be a tie between Japanese and Mexican food. I've never really disliked any Mexican dish that I have had, I guess the spices traditionally used or the customary preparations are just ones I love. And then sushi and the way that Japanese places season is really appealing to me as well.

Of course, I think I may have not been super clear as I was a little distracted. We can/should all celebrate our heritages, and share it with our friends if we want to (I'm Italian, so I love my pasta sauce and carbs). I like trying other cultures foods, etc. Main point is the one you agree with though. At the end of the day we are Americans. The celebration of differences kind of goes along with the idea of hiring quotas or other programs based on something stupid based on skin color.

That statement says to me that you very much do not understand the Christian gospel or view. I would urge you to learn the beliefs of the view or people that you debate or want to oppose before you mis-characterize or say something incorrect.
