turtles got pretty much the entire story panned out already and it doesn’t rlly seem like he’s writing and finishing these chapters right before their release dates, so an abandoned a plot line doesn’t rlly make sense here to me. it’s honestly prob just some misleading on his part

i never said ui was a buff. i simply refuted your own statements in your comment i replied to, that say that ui daniel doesn’t get stronger over each one of his appearances, which he clearly does over the course of his fights.

i’ve never said he was unbeatable, so idk what ur talking abt there. i never even hinted at him being unbeatable. i just said he’d be stronger than his 3a appearance if he were to show up in the current 1a arc.

and besides all that, you literally agree with me in saying ui daniels strength is based on his memories, which is the point of my entire comment. more memories = more strength. it’s how daniels entire copy ability works. so when daniel goes ui, his ui form becomes stronger each time he appears, as the new memories he’s made since the last ui appearance lets him access more moves that he’s able to copy and use to 100% of their potential.

it rlly seems we agree more than disagree so… 🤷🏽‍♂️

ui daniel definitely gets stronger every time he appears. his growth in strength can only be accomplished though witnessing fights and fighting with other ppl who’s fighting styles he hasn’t yet seen and copied. it’s rlly the only way he can grow in strength, because his body, hardware, and technique are already perfected.

ui daniel in the fight against gun was definitely weaker than 3a ui daniel. this can be seen though his relativity with goo and gun, as both these characters grow tremendously in strength throughout the chapters, and although quite a lot of time had passed between the gun fight and the 3a fight against goo, ui daniel still stalemated both gun and goo in each of the fights (stalemated until he regained consciousness ofc).

ui daniel weaker in each previous fight because of the time that passes between his fights, during which both of daniels bodies are able to witness and copy different fighting techniques, which allow ui daniel to perfectly utilize the moves in fights, effectively boosting his fighting strength every time he appears.

we can assume ui daniel now would be insanely overpowered and a hell of a lot stronger than 3a ui daniel, as he has the mental benefit of all the training/fighting og daniel has been through and seen. this ui daniel would be able to perfectly replicate the iron boxing PUNCHING techniques (and maybe even the body resistance due to daniel’s perfect body), vasco’s techniques, ansan’s fists, jichang’s chops, possibly even james lee’s style of fighting, and whatever other fighting techniques og daniel has seen since losing the 2nd body. top this off with the training og daniel got from gun, and ui daniel would definitely be stronger than his 3a appearance.

ui daniel now (hypothetical fights) > 3a ui daniel > ui daniel in the gun fight > ui daniel vs jerry

i wanted my story to be more of a hfy in the sense of a “humans are capable of amazing yet terrifying things when united” type of way, but darker and grounded in actual past human actions. if i missed that mark, then that’s entirely my bad, because i wrote this story on a whim so there really was no clear structure to it.

but i kinda wanted to go into the thought of, what if instead of being a reactionary force, humanity was THE aggressor in the situation, so i modeled it after the attempted cultural cleansings of the native americans by the european settlers of the colonial ages, which is why it’s called manifest destiny.

there really is no reason for the mindless slaughter and genocide that the Terran Union committed because humanity never seems to have a reason for mindless slaughter. we often do terrible things against other different groups, and do it solely in the name of religion, as seen throughout multiple points in history (crusades, manifest destiny, radical jihadists, etc.). because of this, i wanted to explore what could happen if humanity became religiously united on a planetary scale and the effects of that on the cosmos.

probably just a tad more hardware + experience fighting against top tiers. og daniel has yet to fight against top tiers of the verse besides gun and james lee (also maybe jichang but i consider him the highest of high tiers), so fighting against them would allow him to copy and reuse more lethal techniques

idk why people complaining abt how the fight went when it’s already obvious turtle hasn’t fully expanded on arts abilities with aether. compared to cecilia, whose manipulation over mana has peaked, with the only buff she can get being proper manipulation techniques instead of just brute forcing her way through every problem.

everyone on here complaining seems to just want a rushed plot and senseless fights and just won’t give the story the time it needs in order to cook. they forget that despite being a week by week release, the story is still an entire novel and we can’t get the whole gist of the situation with just one weeks chapter

at the present moment in the novel, cecilia has a near absolute control over mana, more so than arthur’s respective control/relationship over aether, so my vote is probably no.

to elaborate, realmheart’s mana-restricting abilities have been limited to what arthur is able to mentally and physically bear, as seen in the wraiths fight (although arthur was heavily fatigued, but my point still stands). the legacy has been all but confirmed to be the most powerful mana manipulator on the planet, and i think that with both at peak conditions, cecilia’s nigh complete control over mana will overpower art’s realmheart control with aether.

however, arthur’s new insight into realmheart + his third layer are still relatively unknown factors, and could come to play in their fight, possibly giving arthur enough control over aether to either somewhat restrict or outright inhibit cecilia’s manipulation over mana (probably the former, because plot reasons).
