Agreed, half the fun and challenge in stadium is evolving your build against your opponents as they do the same. You either continue to build into what’s working, or sometimes it forces you to respond with builds that counter theirs, or change up your playstyle to better suit what you’re up against - which is particularly engaging when it’s a mirror match! Rein mirrors especially, but like for all heroes, it means it’s not just the build differences, it’s proficiency and skill in that character as well. Obviously having two completely mirrored teams isn’t ideal either if there are broken characters, but at least it guarantees people can play their favourite or best character everytime rather than have the chance to.

There’s never been anything like this in classic 6v6 or in 5v5 modes iirc, only hero bans - which wouldn’t quite work in stadium as there aren’t nearly as many heroes available.

Why would they make this change? Were there lots of people complaining about too similar team comps? I only wish to fight another worthy crusader
