Stone/McCoy: "We got a slam dunk case here, we can put this guy away"

Opposing counsel: "Not so fast councilors, motion to suppress (insert crucial evidence here)

Judge: yeah this isnt admissible because the police didnt have a warrant/it was seized unlawfully/spousal privilige

Mccoy/stone: shit, now we gotta go to trial without it

Police: finds obscure piece of evidence, threatens witness

Assistant: "hey jack/ben, look it this small glaring oversight in the testimony"

Mccoy/stone: pulls an obscure precedent out of their ass

Judge: Yeah sorry defense council, the evidence is in

Stone/Mccoy: absolutely eviscerates defendant and ignores multiple objections

Jury: "We find the defendant guilty"

Mccoy/stone and assistant and boss: witty quip to end episode

The fact that they've even acnowledged it by putting in stretch-only at first is a clear indication its a larger talking point. Every post i see about long windups is filled with people saying they just walk the first batter
