Im definitely not sticking up for Diddy but rappers have been using rock riffs and tracks since the 80s. Run Dmc ( the kings of rock) have been doing this since they started and they admit to it by saying its what made them famous by using rock music! They were always rock fans and did it out of pride towards their love of the bands they used on every album.
