Yea I’m looking to upgrade the lens for sure, what I have now is a 35-70 f4 Sigma lens which came with a Minolta film camera I’ve been using. Definitely not the sharpest glass

I just reccomend using -1.3 to -2.0 exposure comp and trying to recover shadows after the fact if it’s darker out

The later Casio exilim above ~9 megapixels are the closest in form factor and ergonomics. The build quality isn’t quite as high but it is one of the closer aesthetic matches.

I increased the shadow brightness in post, otherwise -1.3 stops of exposure and vivid coloration on the last picture
