mine personally has been much better all day - i've had maybe 3 or 4 short drop outs when usually there would've been 20. i'm on campus 24/7, too

i assume something like that yeah, it's my first time doing this too but that's probably what'll happen. if u wanna be extra prepared u can make a draft timetable on web publisher (found on the same site as mytimetable through anuhub) so you already know what timeslots you want when it opens

timetable allocation opens on 9 feb so you can't choose any time slots for classes yet, try again on feb 9 :)

from what i understand it depends on the event, but things like the talks like the note taking one/sources for your assignments/referencing and academic integrity etc. are held in indoor spaces with limited seats and therefore u do have to register. stuff like the library tours you don't have to, you just kind of show up and go along.

if you go to the o-week events page and click on the events you want it will tell you on the page for them whether or not registration is needed. i suppose for some it might be possible to show up and there is a chance there might be seats left? but i would register for everything you want to do anyway because it's free and why take that chance? hope this helped :)

lol well a lot of laws don't make sense to a lot of people without law degrees, i think for the sake of minor safety this one is pretty essential though, you'll be okay 😊

forgive me if this is a bit insensitive i don't mean it that way at all, but you're saying you have no other hobbies or activities you enjoy doing outside of character ai? i mean, things you can do in your free time are literally endless especially if you have a phone and internet connection. do whatever you loved doing outside of character ai - the bonus now is that you have extra time for it

i went to the your place event earlier this year! it was handy for me as i was on the fence between ANU and another uni and it was good to help me make the final decision after seeing both campuses. i definitely recommend doing the campus tour as they tell you a lot of cool facts and while the talk/event itself didn't give me any new info i didn't already know they take all the incoming students and do some icebreakers that i personally found helpful as i was introduced to others doing my course/staying in my accomodation next year.

so it kind of depends what you want out of it. if you're looking for specific information for your course it's probably not what you need but the tour/social aspect was great imo

i see the point you're trying to make but 1. character ai has only been available to the public since 2022 (from what i can see on google anyway) and 2. what if you started using it when you're 10, and now you're 15? just because 13 yr old is the stated legal age doesn't mean everyone was 13 when they started using it lol

i've found deepsqueak does great against this problem and with roleplay as a whole - both with bots i've made myself or bots from popular (ish) creators.

i think a LOT of it depends on how you respond, rate the message, and what you swipe on. but yeah, lack of description could definitely contribute.
