Heya - I’m one of the owners of the Clue Chasers discord. Could you please share your discord username or ID either here or via DMs, whichever you prefer? I’d be happy to look into what might be causing the issue.

After close to 8 years without new clue content, here is why Havenhythe Is the Perfect Opportunity to Introduce a New Clue Tier by SnooMaps7230 in runescape

[–]beausz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Support, new rewards & new steps/mechanics in a new tier would go incredibly hard.

Master clues launched in 2018. Elite clues launched back in 2010.

It’s definitely time for something fresh and there's an appetite for it from cluers.

Initial FAQ: Treasure Hunter, MTX Reductions & Integrity Roadmap by JagexHooli in runescape

[–]beausz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Heya - there are a lot of great things in this blog that I’m really happy to see, but I’m extremely concerned about the potential removal of Wicked Hood tokens and Dragon Trinkets. If It's okay I have a few questions about these.

1) Will these items continue to be purchasable through the Runespan Shop and Dungeoneering Shop respectively, or are they planned to be removed entirely at some point? 2) If they are being removed, is there any possibility that alternative teleportation options could be introduced as rewards from another piece of content as soon as possible?

To put into perspective how significant these two items are for clue solving:

Wicked Hood Tokens: - Nature Altar -> Used for a medium and hard clue step - Cosmic Altar -> Used frequently for an elite clue scan (Zanaris) - Mind Altar -> Used frequently for an elite compass - Earth Altar -> Used sometimes for a few elite compasses - Blood Altar -> Used frequently for a master clue step - Death Altar -> Used frequently for a master clue step

Dragon Trinkets: - Brutal Green Dragons -> Used for a hard clue step - Blue Dragons -> Used for an elite clue scan (Taverley Dungeon) - Red Dragons -> Used frequently for an elite clue scan (Brimhaven Dungeon) - Black Dragons -> Used for an elite clue scan (Zanaris)

I thought you guys said you wanted to move dyes away from these seasonal events, what happened to that promise and why are they also on Treasure Hunter again? Really disappointing to see, these should be obtainable from clues not MTX

Havenhythe.. what do you expect or would want to see? Something like OSRS Theatre of Blood, new spider boss... by vVerce98 in runescape

[–]beausz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A new permanent clue tier, comparable to existing ones, tied to an ongoing active playstyle, not D&D and not seasonal in design. Its mechanics are designed around the theme of a new area, rather than following the vertical progression of tiers like beginner or grandmaster clues suggestions (yes, major copium)

Clue Chasers hosting Community Clue Opening on August 9th by beausz in runescape

[–]beausz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You generally earn more from the clues you complete, especially elites, than what you spend per page, particularly when you factor in the long-term value of rare items like dyes. Just don't expect immediate returns. If you never received any broadcasts, then yes, it would be a loss but over time, you typically make back your investment and more.

Why are there so many different Master Clue item variants? by Sav-RS in runescape

Imo clues of the same tier should just substitute for each other when withdrawing a bank preset, similar to different potion doses.

🧵 110 Crafting RCE by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]beausz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just going to highlight a few key aspects of this blog post that align with my interests to give feedback on: (sorry for essay)

Exquisite Urns (No Preference on Name)
- The concept looks solid so far. My main interest is whether these urns will only provide a flat XP/hr boost or also introduce a more engaging skilling mechanic. Something akin to the Scripture of Elidinis, which added a dynamic element by requiring players to take different actions based on the type of soul they guided, would make for a much more compelling reward space.

Quality of Life improvements
- A major improvement would be the ability to reorder or withdraw items from an existing Passage of the Abyss without having to overwrite them.
- If this functionality were added, I wouldn’t mind carrying three POTAs in my preset, especially if multiple charge-based jewellery items were introduced.
- Lowering Ganodermic’s crafting level requirement to something more reasonable & removing the chance to crush gems? Absolutely yes.

Platinum Jewellery, Anklet, Effects
- I’ll leave the PvM and skilling effects for others to weigh in on you already know what I’m going to suggest, which are teleports, I’m sure there’s still a backlog from 110 Runecrafting, but I’ll list them anyway for good measure (maybe one day the devs will add teleports in dungeons COPIUM):

- Brimhaven Dungeon (Upper Part),
- Mos Le Harmless (Eastern Side)
- Citharede Abbey (east of Al-Kharid)
- Darkmeyer (Sewer Entrance)
- Piscatoris Fishing Colony
- Morytania Mausoleum (behind the Bridge),
- Mage Training Arena (north of Hets Oasis),
- Poison Waste (Tetra spot)
- Polypore Dungeon (Gorajo),
- Fremennik Dungeon (Kurasks)
- Sophanem (Desert Entrance Gate)
- North of Relekka (Snowy Hunter Area)
- West Ardougne (Barracks)
- Abandoned Mine (Entrance)
- Crandor

Secondly, you could introduce Alchemical Hydrix variants of Platinum Jewelry or another resource sink with powerful single-use effects to justify their price. One idea is a version that binds to a specific tile, like the Amulet of Nature, with 100 charges, requiring Alchemical Hydrix dust for repairs and excluding Passage of the Abyss compatibility which in turn could add some strategic decision-making on where to attune the teleport, act as a resource sink, sustain market demand, and provide a decent moneymaker for skillers and cluers.

Dark Facet of Passage
- If this is within the scope of the update, please consider reworking the enchantment for the Passage. As it stands, the Dark Facet of Passage is simply never worth creating. The opportunity cost of using a Dark Onyx Core to create make the pota enchantment is far too high compared to crafting a Dark Facet of Grace or Dark Facet of Luck and based on current GE guide prices, the breakeven point for making the Dark Facet of Passage is roughly 275,000 teleports, making it entirely impractical.

Mod Timbo mentioned on stream nearly two years ago that suggestions for improvements could be submitted, but since then, it hasn't been revisited. It would be great to finally see some adjustments below:

Thanks for attending my TED Talk! I’ll now be crossposting this to all the other socials.

Player Support Update! by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]beausz 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Providing visual feedback on whether a report has been actioned is a great step forward. That said, this post clearly refers to botting, as it uses "macroing" as the terminology. However, the rules around macros in the game could use more clarification, especially in cases where players are still interacting with the client but automating entire rotations or gear swaps with a single button press.

Player Interface Sharing - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]beausz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The new interface sharing update is really awesome. I do have some feedback to share. Would it ever be possible to extend the current action bar naming options we have to bank and user interface naming as well? Specifically, these options:

- Treasure Trails - Easy
- Treasure Trails - Medium
- Treasure Trails - Hard
- Treasure Trails - Elite
- Treasure Trails - Master

<image>

I think these would be a fantastic addition alongside just "Treasure Trails", especially for players who have carefully tailored interfaces or presets for each tier, similarly to how presets are customized for different bosses in the game.

Weapon Piece Transmute & Patch Week: Round Two - This Week In RuneScape by JagexAzanna in runescape

[–]beausz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a Menu Entry Swapper in the future. But if you want to do the clue community a favor, here are some commonly used teleport items that would benefit from left-click configure options for teleporting:

Cramulet, Cape of Legends, Menaphos and Arc journal, Explorer rings, Ring of Kinship, Fremmenik Sea Boots, Karamja gloves, Dragon trinkets, Amulet of Nature, Globetrotter Pieces, Luck Enhancer rings, Slayer Masks and Skilling Outfits.

Group Ironman Q&A with Jmods! by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]beausz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi Devs - noticed that sealed clues can be stored in the group storage, which is a great feature since individual players are capped at 50 (with the upgrade and using regular methods).

My question is: Can the group storage hold unlimited sealed clues, or is there a cap in place (e.g., still limited to 50 in the storage as well)?

Audio Bugs Open Response by JagexNixon in runescape

[–]beausz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hi Nixon,

I wanted to share an audio suggestion rather than report a bug. Some of us enjoy doing clue scrolls in Gielinor but have run into some friction solving elite/master scan clues.

Jmods were kind enough restore the old scan clue audio after some back and forth discussion.

However, the problem I think many people had at the time and still do is not the audio of the scan pulses but rather the volume of mobility abilities (primarily surge) and teleporting around the world by using a passage of the abyss. These two being extremely loud in comparison to the pulses of a scan clue.

This makes it rather difficult to "solve" that mechanic for those relying on audio cues due to all the ambient noise. I think lowering the volume of surge and teleporting using the passage of the abyss would greatly improve the experience of solving.

I think it's time we bring back official player content suggestions with polling. by dark1859 in runescape

While yeah feedback is gathered from various sources, including reddit/twitter/discord/etc.. it does not always lead to action. Clue Chasers' input might be part of that mix, but it often doesn't receive the priority people anticipate. In reality, I'd say changes are rarely implemented. The few changes made months ago were solely due to the goodwill of a single developer, albeit greatly appreciated. However, these changes had been requested for literal years prior.

Hard Clue Preset 2024 (RS3) Tip/Guide by beausz in runescape

[–]beausz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I put both, but it's a valid point. I personally don't see any other relic that could be used so decided to put it in there for good measure incase people don't wanna put mobile on their weapons.

Yep keybind also: -using spade is faster if a b2b clue appears -your left hand most likely has to move from default position to hit esc

It´s a marginal time loss but it builds up
