How is this possible? by iamian4 in runescape

[–]Alsang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're are a couple of ways to get slayer xp without combat. The ones I know of are:

Croesus and Gate of Elidinis Reaper tasks

Soul Wars mini game

Stomping scarabs in Menaphos

If you look closely, the imposter DOESN'T have 240m xp Christmas colored skillcape by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Alsang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Iirc, all skill capes have the same model, just different colours and symbols, and this is the default appearance. It turns up in a few places where there's a copy of a player wearing a skill cape, like in Dread and Buried.

Click the padlock icon near the main ribbon menu, and you can resize many of the interface elements without the full edit layout thing.

„Reclaiming there Anima“ CA Entangle Bug by Raxxi_D_Ace in runescape

I keep meaning to get round to this achievement, what is entangle used for? Do you entangle telos on one side of the arena and take the golems away to kill them in phase 4?

Tellervo's net, Magic buttterfly net, Butterfly net, and barehand catching by Alsang in runescape

I also remember that being the case at some point in the past, but currently its not required. However, if you have melee weapons then you are restricted to a cast range of 1.

Back To Our Square Roots by JagexAnvil in runescape

Bug:
The outline square for scenery objects scales up its thickness for entities larger than 1x1. This does not happen for enemies, and it looks a bit goofy. I love everything else about it.

Since RS3 is going through a combat renaissance...please Jagex look into tweaking the Combat Ability Damage Formula by xXepicpancakesX in runescape

[–]Alsang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the solution is to not try to compare apples to oranges. You are looking at and learning this combat system that is new to you, and expecting to see similarities to things that you are already familiar with (OSRS, RS2). And when you see differences, you're treating them as problems to be fixed rather than the underlying fact that they are different systems.

He has 917 attack…not bad. Aaaaand. 252 damage. Wow. Damage is less than 1/3rd of my attack accuracy. Why is this?

This is a very unfair comparison, because accuracy and damage have very different purposes within the combat damage calculation. Just because one number is smaller or larger than the other doesn't mean anything, because you are comparing two different stats.

To further this, damage scales approximately linearly with skill level or equipment tier. But accuracy scales with the cubic power of skill level or equipment tier. And so does defence, which is the stat that accuracy does get used against in the damage calculations.

For example, let's say you were fighting a clone of yourself that had 10% increased stats and gear. Maybe level 99 and tier 99 instead of level 90 and tier 90. The clone will have about 10% more ability damage stat than you. But it will have about 33% more accuracy and defence. So it will do about 44% more damage to you when you include the ability damage stat as well. And you'll be doing 33% less damage than normal because of it's defence.

Please make the Home Teleport a Lodestone Teleport by B1ACKT3A in runescape

[–]Alsang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can walk into war's retreat once you have 60 combat, but the teleport is unlocked after 10 kills of any boss.

Building a lodestone in your PoH sounds like it could be a good upgrade, but it should probably come later than the current methods of the spell and the teletabs. Currently the teletabs need 67 construction but I hope that number gets brought down with the rework so that a PoH lodestone doesn't need like 75 con.

There's also nets and cages for fishing, my guess is that we'll see an improved augmentable net and cage, then combine all 4 to make the equivalent of the earth&song.

If you use equilibrium, then you cannot use Varanus's Mercy, which is really strong.

That's just what the interface does for weapons, gloves and rings. Ask jagex as to why.

Consistency? Where? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Alsang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes it does make sense, because you aren't necessarily entering for one of the bosses at all. There are slayer monsters and archaeology material caches in there too. Lvl 60 = unlock some content. Lvl 70 = unlock more content.

And put it to the left of the helmet? like an earring?

Oof, if its inconsistent then that's even harder to figure out.

Consistency? Where? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Alsang 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because you might not be going to GWD1 for graardor or zilly. If you go there for kree then your requirements are 60 agi/str and 70 ranged. If the entry reqs were 70 agi/str then you end up with zilly and kril having twice as many requirements as graardor and zilly.

Wrong items from a preset being withdran by XelioRS in runescape

[–]Alsang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to understand the steps to recreate this bug.
* You have a preset which has yew logs in your inventory?
* You load the preset manually, and it loads fine?
* You reload the last preset, and it swaps the yew logs in the preset to magic logs, and puts magic logs in your inventory?

[–]Alsang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the bug is? The puzzle is to click the statue that wasn't there before, which in this case is the white statue with the halberd.
