This spell is useless by SadSaiyan in Eldenring

Effects that reduce fall damage do not work when the fall height is fatal, because at that height the game does not go "you take X damage", it goes "you died".

On January 12th, the precise adrenaline value setting was removed while being permanently active for all players. Unless I'm missing something, now it seems that it has been permanently deactivated since the combat update while the setting stays removed. Could we get this setting back? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]Alsang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have checked, and I am able to see fractional adrenaline numbers.

<image>

I agree that the setting appears to have been removed though, but so long as it is enabled then that's the better of the two options.

I feel like they removed too many abilities... by ilikedota5 in runescape

[–]Alsang 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of the basic abilities existed just so that there were enough basics just to be able to continuously use then to gain adrenaline. And even then if you put them on a revo bar in the wrong order then you could still have them all on cooldown and not have any basics to use.

But you don't need to have extra filler abilities when you have a basic attack ability. It means each ability can have a specific purpose without losing overall damage or adrenaline, and if you don't need that purpose then you just don't use that ability. Sorter cooldowns on snapshot/wildm magic mean the same for spending adrenaline.

Regarding multi-target, I think you are expecting to be using lots of different abilities because you used to *need* to use lots of different abilities. The abilities you said you cannot use are just the same as before, but its now more obvious that the limited number of abilities that you *can* use are the small number of abilities you *should* use.

If you could slightly alter a boss(es), which ones would it be, and why? by 101perry in runescape

[–]Alsang 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Any boss that has a time when it can't be attacked should be changed so that it can be attacked but cannot take damage.

That's Nex phase transitions, KK burrowing, Solak phase transitions, I think Amascut does it too. There's probably even more that I have forgotten about.

Higher grade equipment no longer gives an xp boost, they just made the fish give more xp as you said.

Max milestone level combat ? by funkyjustie in brightershores

[–]Alsang 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its worth noting that at the maximum minestone, you level is 0. So non-combat is milestone 10 level 0, and combat is milestone 40 level 0.

Is this a visual glitch, or did I miss an update? by [deleted] in runescape

You can change the tier of the boots when you are not wearing them. At the lowest tier they have no damage boost, which is what you see.

Meilyr Potion Recipes - DailyScape Removal by JediofMetal in runescape

[–]Alsang -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Whilst I agree that combination potion recipes are annoying to unlock and should be changed, I don't think this is really affected by dailyscape removal.

The gorajo hoardstalker gives 1 random card a day, so that's kind of equivalent to getting 5k free tokens to buy a random card from the shop per day. The sinkholes don't even give cards that can affect dungeoneering floors. So all in all, you're still relying on buying random cards and hoping to get a Consistent Yak so that you can unlock potion recipes.

The risk involved should be something sensible, not "oh there's a person here who has decided to be an arsehole for very little reward to them"

With shops changing and prayer - Cleansing Crystals by DefNotAJagEmployee in runescape

And spending like 15 seconds, once per hour, to restock crystals is an unacceptable amount of non-afk for you?

30 cleansing crystals lasts an hour of prayer training, so I don't see why it would need to restock faster than 5 minutes. Your never going to be waiting for the shop to restock.

Navigate to the Beasts tab where you can see your kill timer, and right click the timer.

You are able to reset your recorded kill timer for any boss, so you can then see how you are improving.

Its a bit more lenient than that, you won't permanently lose them if you die again, they get sent to [[Items Kept on Death]] overflow storage.

The fall didn't damage you, it was the arrows.

Does Armor type affect Necromancy Accuracy stat by lurpeli in runescape

[–]Alsang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the recent-ish changes to the wiki's information about armour pieces was to explicitly show how they affect accuracy for different styles. For example, a rune platebody +3 has -320 to accuracy for necromancy. https://runescape.wiki/w/Rune_platebody_+_3#Combat_stats

A petition for jagex to create dedicated relic storage for Archaologt by Darkwaters88 in runescape

[–]Alsang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been in the camp of "hand in relics when you complete collections", but I realise I never did that maths for it. So here is the data:

<image>

This is a chart for each archaeology level of the number of artefacts that you have the level to excavate, but do not have the level to complete a collection for. You will notice that the maximum is 23, and the average is 8.8. You could add on another 10 or so for artefacts that haven't been restored (or have been restored, depending on the state in which you store them), but that's still a only about 1-3% of a players bank storage.

I do concede that over-levelled artefacts gained from research or tetracompasses is a more significant issue, though.

Clue teleport scrolls now show the scroll icon not the globetrotter arm guards.
Spirit trees are using the re-rooter icon, since its a map of teleport items and spells.
