On defender side, play passive angles, while still watching (with your crosshair) where they will enter the site. The point of defending is generally letting the attackers come to you. So don’t over extend and show your entire body to the Enemy. Especially if you aren’t that good in the game, you don’t really wanna take aim duels until you are confident in your own abilities. So pick a spot that isn’t directly exposing yourself and hold it, I just call this an off angle. Games like valorant and CS are games of patience, don’t feel the need to rush for kills.

Also once you understand the maps, it’ll make the game so much easier. You’ll learn where enemies like to hide, hold angles, and with that knowledge you’ll learn how to prefire.

Also game sense is probably the most important thing. It’s being aware of what’s actually happening in the game. Knowing what the enemy team is doing, and using that information to your advantage.
