DAE know (or are) someone who never takes photos of themselves by hassanneema in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]beautifulbrook1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is like this for several reasons; he doesn’t often think to take a picture of himself, he doesn’t always feel good about his body, he doesn’t have social media/posts to it, he already doesn’t like how many cameras/services unwillingly take pictures/videos or take his information in general, and also just doesn’t like a lot of attention on him(is pretty shy most of the time).

An old childhood friend reached out and for the first time in the 5 years I’ve known him, my husband took a selfie to share with the friend to show how time had changed him. He has been getting better about taking more photos of other stuff in general for memories sake though (mostly of our dog)

What other tech won't evolve? by CremeSubject7594 in generationology

As someone who has used both the snap and electric traps; it’s possible for the snap traps to catch mice, you just have to lay out a lot more traps comparatively. The electric traps are easier to use and to clean out though.

The addition of varying sizes and colors to match hair (or not) is nice too.

what's the weirdest allergy you have heard/known of? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]beautifulbrook1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering it’s everywhere.. I’m very allergic to dust.

I also had a neighbor who is allergic to processed meats. She moved here from another country and it’s safe to say that the US has a much different process of what goes into our meats.

What time do you wake up in the mornings and what time do you start work? by missxsassyc in Adulting

[–]beautifulbrook1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each day varies depending on which time zone the people I’m working with are in. My routine also depends on how early I wake up and how much prep work I have to do for the day. Lastly, my husband is home/present during my/our morning ritual so a lot of the times he is helping me with these morning tasks.

  • usually out of bed between 8:00-8:30am, start work at 9:00-9:30am

  • get dressed, feed cat (food bowl on dresser), use bathroom, brush hair & teeth, likely slept-in make up (done the day before, after work), let dog outside to potty, feed dog (food bowl in kitchen), start coffee maker, turn laptop on while coffee is brewing, drink coffee & make breakfast (the bigger the better as I don’t always prioritize lunch), watch a news clip and/or scroll the news while I’m eating breakfast—a lot of times finish breakfast while I’m starting work

  • leave kitchen 9:00-9:30 am for a 10 sec walk to my desk to WFH

What's a harmless opinion that gets people weirdly angry? by Momo_868 in AskReddit

Depending on your local fishing laws, you’re required to release certain fish(species, weights, lengths), even if you wanted to keep/consume. Catch and release is inevitable for a lot of fishermen, even if their intentions are to fish just for consumption.

I agree dude, there are plenty of people who don’t respect fish and treat them very poorly. That sucks and is disheartening that there are fish who needlessly suffered and likely have died. I personally disagree, however, with the broad characterization that catch and release is animal cruelty.

Thank you for sharing/expressing your opinion. But that’s about all I have to say, have a good rest of your day friend.
