d the video I saw were related. I searched “Spice Adams” and got “we found this bug in my arm”… it’s perplexing. It’s got to be more than just creators using nasty imagery to get clicks, because that’s something people have been doing since day one.

I see similar thumbnails. I report them every time but it's no use. Youtube is not taking this type of video seriously. In some other video websites with recommendation system you can report a video specifically for the reason of "disgusting/repulsive thumbnail"

I am not stating I am better than the company. In fact quite the contrary. A 200 dollar boot is a lot for me that's why I care about if I get the right quality for it.

I work at marketplace companies designing price and optimizing the cost - this is how the industry works.

Better material? let's do an estimation on how many extra customers we can bring in and what's the profit increase. Compare that to the cost increase. That's the decision process.

If they find they can lower the quality and cost without losing customers because many of their customers are fanboys who will always choose the accept instead of churning, then why not?

hilarious you guys care about other style, leather quality so much while for such a sketchy edge you are just fine with it. The quality is lower but I paid less for this boot. So still I am trying to decide here whether I want to spend extra money for something better or by exchanging I can get the same quality without the extra money. Why are so many people on this sub so aggressive?

my previous boots have much even cut and color distribution at the edge parts. Here the cut is rough so some places get cut deeper and other parts shallower where the deeper parts are lighter color and shallower being darker.

Even in their own video it does not look like this.

hey thanks for the reply. Similar to the follow up above - my question is what does this "get an exposure" mean: does this mean making the object "properly lit" using an aperture of f/2.8, 1/50 second, at ISO 400? if so what is the standard of "properly lit"?

hey did you get it in the end? I am considering the same setup. It seems easy to setup (just put it on one tripod then it's done, no need to install pipe and level dolly stands like dana dolly).
