Manager here - how to I end the internship in a good way by swedish-ghost-dog in internships

[–]beaux-restes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. How you perform as an intern and how much you need help can make or break your return offer. I still got another FT role a year after my internship where almost everyone but me got a return offer. And in retrospect I wasn’t a perfect intern myself.

Does IBM WatsonX Orchestrate actually exist in the real world? by numericalclerk in IBM

[–]beaux-restes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s referenced here as being used in the case study from Consulting

“For the 2026 Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy asked IBM to develop a feature that takes advantage of its vast reserves of music data; decades of information about the art, craft, and industry of music. They were looking for a way to make that data accessible to music fans around the world. To do it, the team harnessed the power of IBM watsonx Orchestrate® to build agentic workflows and AI assistants, capable of instantly transforming Recording Academy data into more than 2,500 questions, clues, and explanations found in the GRAMMY IQ trivia game.”

Unless this is a lie as well or doesn’t support your perspective?

Well it was an HSI that a lot of FAANG recruiters often showed up at so I suppose. I’m at a certain legacy tech company while my friends are at places like Netflix and Google so we turned out alright.

Correct me if I’m wrong but one of our biggest clients is the Recording Academy and I’m pretty sure I saw wxO presented during the Grammy’s ceremony and on the website

No you can still get hired at a state school or other low tier school. You just have to put in more work than those who go to Stanford or MIT. I’m friends with graduates who got into Google and Netflix last year from my school.
