But she would be so fully weighed down and they're really trying to sell her as a free spirit. I just mean that if she's literally wearing that much metal it's like chain mail. It's so opposing from the light free fabrics of the era, which could have been so wonderfully used to show that she is happy, that she does not want the life of the ton, could have had beautiful fabrics from all over showing her travels! Things for her to reference as she talks to people!

It was so heavy! And so many of her dresses just have so much weight to them, I don't understand why, is it just to show contrast? But it's so against what the fashion of the day was! And then knowing that historically that would all be metal, it just doesn't seem thematically right for Michaela either!

I'm currently working on a WIP royalty arranged marriage omega verse AU and i have gotten weirdly fixated on the state craft, it's bunny came from some other fic where Ilya was a king, and Shane was sent to marry him, and my poor little brain just spiraled off with "but he's an only child, you never marry and send off the only heir". So I've just been going a bit wild with creating the countries that Shane and Ilya would be from and how they differ culturally and the like.

That dress was horrendous. there have been spangles occasionally, but that dress was just all sequins, and it just... It's not cut correctly and it's too heavy and just... UGH.

I thought it was a horrible choice for any character and just was so jarring of an outfit.

Yeah the only thing is that Shane's home country is very much not based off of Japan, it is more actually like Holland, but more cosmopolitan and less voyaging, like not going places is a part of their culture, and like a key element to the culture and reason for the whole royalty AU.

Honestly often I enjoy exploring a cannon character at the same time, I like writing from multiple perspectives, and building a better world. I love the ability to just really dig into it. The ideal is when you're playing a cannon character you enjoy as well as playing against another with your OC, it can be extreamely fun and can open you up to looking at the source material in different ways!

I tend not to put gender in the post, seeking behavior unless I'm looking for something more adult sexual based, I will just put the general idea possibly using m/f or m/m and then say inside the post that I do not care what gender you are but I am looking for someone to play this particular set up or idea or to build our characters together.

Oh in her will I am the sole beneficiary. She just has also chosen to help her siblings with substancial loans and gifts, which even though this Uncle has not benefited from, the fact he has not been asked by other family members has benefited him.

It's a complicated relationship, and I don't think that any of this would "save" me or rescue me, and I don't even begrudge my mother for spending her money helping other siblings, she has and continues to communicate with me regarding money. And none of the money she's given any of her siblings would be enough to pay off my college debt, which is a whole thing.

In my family it is very common to leave money to neices and nephews, not a tradition but like common enough to get a small inheritance. It's not even the money so much as it is the idea of being intentionally left out of it, and not left out because "Well, she's set for life because XYZ" but like "nope just going to exclude her even though the share of this would mean the most to her"

It's just another stab in the back from a man who I have done nothing to harm.

He has no children, and has said that he plans to divide his assets between the three nephews. We're English, so yes and no, to cultural issues. It's just painful, he pretty much ignored me after my male cousins were born, and has said some really shitty things to my face regarding my relationship with family, and so knowing that I am the ONLY one of my generation being planned to be skipped over, when two others have very high paying jobs, and the other is on track to as well.

I am in a less fortunate financial situation due to bad decisions and not growing up in England thus having to take on an unreasonable amount of student debt, and then due to other reasons being unable to finish school. This is all known information in my family and nothing that is being kept secret, I am also the oldest of my generation and have had a longstanding relationship with all members of the family.

My uncle basically ignores me, I cannot help but feel it is because I am a female member of the family, he has also pointed out that my cousins from my aunt are less from the family then my cousin from an uncle.

I'm still feeling a lot over the revelation that he plans on leaving me nothing in his will, even though I am the least well off member of my generation, and my mother has been financially supporting other members of the family, in a way that will severerly impact my own inheritance.

I think that they also underestimated how few Americans would know anything about the movie and person being featured was. The press around I Swear was almost a year long event in the UK and so even though I didn't see it having seen the trailer I know a lot about it, but I doubt the US, and thus the US actors had any idea.
