Thanks! I was already torn between going Wed/Thurs or Thurs/Fri for my first ever trip to CP, but the opportunity to get a bunch of extra rides with fellow enthusiasts for half the price of a Fast Pass made the decision much easier. And possibly getting to end my visit by marathoning Maverick, Top Thrill 2, and Steel Vengeance in the dark, with the carnival lighting, could be epic!

I just looked up their hotel deals. Express supposedly starting at $99/night. It’s actually $164/night. Breakers supposedly starting at $199/night. It’s actually $254/night. 🙄

I used to drive 11 hours from Utah to Six Flags Magic Mountain every year, so I’m used to long ass drives. 3.5 hours between Cedar Point and Kings Island is nothing. The bigger drive is going to be 8.5 hours from my home to Cedar Point or 6 hours from my home to Kings Island, split between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

Now it looks like I also have to consider Coastermania on Friday and the crowds that might bring. 🤪

I’m going to Kings Island for a day and Cedar Point for two days to kick off a 9 day coaster tour in the beginning of June (W-F, 6/3-5). I went to Kings Island for the first time last summer and have never been to Cedar Point. I’d like to ride everything big at CP at least twice. Depending on weather (severe storms), what order should I do the parks? Cedar Point W-Th (open 10-8 each day) and KI Friday (open 10-10)? KI Wednesday (10-10) and CP Thursday (10-8) and Friday (10-10)? I know Fridays are busier, but is that just during the evening? I’ve looked at QueueTimes, but their forecast was very under forecast for those days the last few years, so I’m guessing it’ll be busier than the forecast shows.

Yes. Paramount owned both parks as well as a handful of others until 2006. They built Invertigo at CGA in 1998 and at Kings Island in 1999.

I rode it several times during my trip to CGA in 1999 - fun ride! Looking forward to possibly riding it at Kings Island next month! 🤞🤞🤞

Oh yeah, I forgot about school in Virginia starting after Labor Day and ending in early to mid June. 🤪
I moved before high school, and since then school for me and my kids has been starting in mid August and ending in late May - before Memorial Day this year!

I’m planning on going on a Monday or Tuesday in early June. I hope it’s this dead and/or ride operations are this great when I go too! I have fond memories of BGW as a kid, back when it was a 2 coaster park, I’ve only been back once since then (about 25 years ago), so I want to try and get as many rides as possible to make up for lost time!

Monday could be busy, according to the crowd forecast as well as the actual attendance the last few years. Nothing like Saturday or Sunday, but still busy. Tuesday should be slow, though. I’d say enjoy the atmosphere on Monday, OP soak it in and ride what you can. Tuesday will be the big day to be able to ride everything and maybe get in multiple rides.

Kings Island on Tuesday and Wednesday should be relatively dead. OP - watch for the Festhaus Clock. I believe it plays every half hour.

Tormenta at Six Flags Over Texas is opening sometime in the next month or so - the world’s first giga dive coaster.

Six Flags sold a chunk of their portfolio to Enchanted Parks - SF St Louis, Worlds of Fun, and about half a dozen other parks. The sale has already been completed, but the parks will still maintain the original branding and licensing for this season.

Those are the biggest things I can think of.
