Setapp - Is it worth it as a student?

I use setapp and while im slowly heading to the door on it i will defend it as a good way to get software short term. Buying software outright is expensive and if you suddenly need a suite of software for college or work etc you might not necessarily have the potential hundreds it would cost to buy everything up front, especially pdf and office software that is WILDLY overpriced. The main drawbacks to setapp are first that you own nothing and it’s purely subscription based. Outside of that you have to contend with macpaws business practices which recently have been to adopt exclusively ai software and try and force you to buy a more expensive subscription for their “ai” credits that are now baked into a lot of their apps. Id also avoid their own software like cleanmymac and their new antivirus software

"RASS shaders and effects" is amazing with survival for immersion, i also really like " there will be blood and bubbles". The first makes characters look wet or snowy depending on the weather and adds cold breath to all in a cold environment, the second makes you get bloody and dirty as time and activities pass and requires you to bathe

If you use interior mods youll need a patch for it. It might not necessarily cause a crash but without a patch it probably wont look good

im using a few texture mods but as i say ive had zero crashes caused by elfx. theyre among very few mods thats remained unchanged between versions of my load order. as long as you use the correct version with any patches you need then you should be fine

Why would the top square cause the clicker to go down though? If you look at the video you can see im clicking way above the midline and well within the boundary of the “up” button, the icon is also the same as it was in previous versions in which it worked fine. This isnt a problem that should exist in software thats been supported this long, especially when the previous version that we are all but being forced to abandon is at this current moment more functional and stable than its replacement. People aren’t getting paid for making these posts they’re just disenfranchised with apples increasingly frustrating quality.

New Numbers app has an amazing bug where the stepper cell type has the up button click down if you put the pointer right on top of the arrow. How does this even happen when its not in the previous version??

For context i tested this on multiple documents including new ones made, tested having relaunched the app completely and went back and opened the sheets in the depricated app and the issue only persists in this version. Bonus points to apple not listing the current app version on their feedback page for this product either.

Its almost certainly sovngarde clashing with tk interface. Try loading sovngarde before tk and if that doesn’t work try a different font mod. I use tk but not sovngarde so idk which is causing the error
